Posted January 5, 201411 yr This is my progress thus far. A-wing, X-wing, Y-wing, TIE Fighter, TIE Advanced. I may be finished for a little while, as there isn't any others I really want. I am going to use the Midi MF from TLG for this set, as it will scale well with my set. I will also use TLG's Planet Series Snowspeeder for this set, as that is scaled good for my set as well. Thank you to everyone, especially Brickdoctor and Beaver for all of the great ideas to help me get these just the way I want them!! Here is my MOC mini family!
January 6, 201411 yr They look great together, but I'm thinking that the TIE-fighters are too large. In the Death Star Trench, three TIE-fighters fit easily, but there is only room for two X-wings.
January 6, 201411 yr Author Yea they are a tad wide, I am going to work on the size, but it might be tough to do. It really all depends on which scene you watch to determine the scale. If you watch the trench run, the TIEs are smaller, if you watch the scene where Wedge goes head on with the TIE that's pursuing Biggs, the TIE is much wider. Hard to get actual specs on every ship, too, because every website has different specs on all of the ships that I build, so I eyeballed it as best as I could
January 6, 201411 yr Author Looking at some more picture, I think I got the scale right. But then if you look at wookiepedie, the TIE is 6m and the X-wing is 12m. And on wiki the X-wing is 15m. No real answer.
January 6, 201411 yr Lol, the issues of star wars reproduction...where half of all statistics are made up, and conflict ten years later with someone else's made up statistic, check the official star wars website information, they have their own little wiki, and might have the information you need, from a more trusted source.
January 6, 201411 yr Author To show the scale of mine: EDIT: Changed the TIE's up a little to thin the wings out. Edited January 6, 201411 yr by DonBrizzel
