MstrOfPppts Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 After escaping the wreckage me and my clone troops arrived at Mos Eisley. We went straight to the Imperial outpost, where we got our next assignment. You can imagine how thrilled the troopers were to return to Hoth ... Anyway before heading to our next mission I used the chance and contacted my old pal Flaren. I told him to meet me at the Cantina where I was escorted by two guards. I told them to wait and guard the entrance while I do some talking. Flaren was really surprised to see a stormtrooper sit next to him and even more surprised when I took of the helmet. I knew it straight away, he's smuggling for the Rebel scum. After a short talk he admitted the cooperation with the Rebellion. I couldn't turn him in but we also had an agreement he'd be playing a double game and spy for us on the Rebel movement. Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome as always and I'd like this judged Quote
CardinalBricks Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 This is great. I love all the SNOT, it adds details you wouldn't be able to with building it normally. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 This looks fantastic. I really like the style of tables, bulky and rounded off. Very utilitarian; they fit Tatooine perfectly. And as always your SNOT work is very clean. On suggestion: I think it would look good with some grey tiles or grates or something in the floor to add some detail and contrast to any larger expanses of tan. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Great moc, a million times better than Lego's I might say! Quote
Commander Colt Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 That BAR !! Is glorious, fitting in style and aesthetic to both the source and the build, I am certainly enjoying it And of course Lando having plenty to drink... Quote
MKJoshA Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 So much I love about this build! I love the vast amount of Star Wars creatures/peoples you've included. I would've maybe switched some of the torsos up so the minifig didn't first jump out as: "Plo Koon! Oh wait, he died, must just be one of his species." I love "Sebulba" with the Twi'lek. I love the shadowy booths, though I would like a close up of Flaren. Lastly, your SNOT work is spectacular. I still cannot figure out how you did the front end of the bar. What's the secret? Quote
DonBrizzel Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The drink (middle of the bar) area blows my mind at some of the pieces you used to create such a beautiful scene! Well done!!!! Quote
Artizan Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I love your snot techniques, especially on roof, and your moc is very smooth and clean, perhaps too smooth and clean for a place, wretched hive of scum and villainy Quote
BEAVeR Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Incredible. This wonderful scene really has that bar feeling. The baris a piece of art, but then there are those grungy sidechambers where obscure stuff happens. Really nice! Also, you make SNOT building almost look easy. Seamlessly you've incorporated it almost anywhere, to achieve this beautiful Cantina. Wow... I never tought I'd say "beautiful" and "Cantina" in one sentence. That makes me come to another point that has been made before. Maybe it looks a bit too clean. A bit too light too. Maybe a little more dark tan would solve that tiny problem. I can't wait to see what your contest entry will be, if this is just the warm-up! Quote
Manx Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Perfect work, as usually. It looks just as I imagine it. Quote
TenorPenny Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The scene is very reminiscent of the cantina from the movies. Very well done. Quote
Steph 104th Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 its amazing, brilliantly built i love it . If only you were on the Lego design team for the upcoming one Quote
Brick Fiend Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Great work. Love it. Particularly like the recessed wall booths. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The build is awesome, but there is something that doesn't feel right... It's too clean Quote
Nom Carver Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Absolutely great! you must have a thousand of those tan bricks. Quote
TWP Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Great work MstrOfPppts! I really like the steps on the roof, the SNOT, and especially the bar with all those gabs and details in it I agree with others that it looks to clean, also I think it is not crowdy enough for a bar. What might be something to note what others have not said yet, is that because of the low gabs in the wall, you almost can't see what's going on in there, and there is too much shade in there compared with the rest of the MOC. perhaps elevating the arches and/or adding some lights can make this better? It's just a minor thing, though Quote
LegoFjotten Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Fantastic moc, the bar section with the pipes is amazing! As others have mentioned, only thing that could maybe be improved on is the floors/wall, they look a bit too clean for such a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Wow! That is truly stunning. As others have said, it's a bit too clean, but it's nothing that can't be fixed by adding a few empty bottles on the floor. Well done Quote
Oky Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Great build! I like the use of SNOT and the greebling on the bar. It didn't even look like Lego at first glance, more like one of those action figure playsets, and it makes me want to play out the scenes from the movie with it. Well done. Quote
HanShotFirst Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Awesome, man! Very clean. I especially like the bar, very well done. Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Thanks everyone for nice comments and stop saying it's too clean or I might consider doing another version! Yes I admit it, this build took me far longer than expected and I wanted to first build it all in tan, to see what I'm missing and then add the details. Since I'm a bit busy lately (SoNE ep. III entry and some other stuff) I just decided to take photos or it might take another month to do so ... it's a bit undercrowded for the same reasons too. I hope I don't need any bricks to destroy it and make a really cool final version of this build! Quote
Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Judges have awarded you 5 XP! Your character's stats will be updated shortly. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Great MOC! I love the details of the bar, I like how this MOC is huge and the building at 45 degrees! Quote

This is really well done, I'd love to see someone do a full sized version of this (at minifig scale). Quote
gavralcraw Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Brilliant MOC - the bar is excellent. You hit the right tone with the minifigs too. Quote
