Gremer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Wait, we're getting a witch king set? And a minis tirith? I thought the middle earth sets in summer 2014 were supposed to be Hobbit sets? Wow I need to check out the history forum. They're rumored, but they seem plausible, so I've been taking them as true. I believe it was someone here who found them. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hmm, and here I was thinking the Lotr threads were all inactive, thanks anyways. Quote

syy89 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Just got back into Lego with a bang earlier this year after coming out of my 10 year long dark age and already picked up several modular buildings and Technic flagships: 10218 Pet Shop 10224 Town Hall 10232 Palace Cinema 10243 Parisian Restaurant 8110 Unimog U400 9398 4x4 Crawler 42009 Mobile Crane MK II Also considering the following: 10244 Fairground Mixer 70810 Metalbeard's Sea Cow 42000 Grand Prix Racer 42025 Cargo Plane Gonna be an expensive year for me when it's all said and done. Hope my wallet won't be too mad lol. Quote
eileenkeeney Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I rarely buy sets, but I have bought more than usual this year. I want Benny's Space Ship, and Emmet's Constructo-o-mech. I want all the versions of Uni-Kitty. I like enough of the pieces in the sets to just buy the sets and not pay the high prices on BL just for the Uni-Kitty versions. I am going to buy the Santa's Workshop set for my Dad. He works as a Santa, and has enjoyed the other Santa themed sets I have given him. I might buy one for myself as well. I am considering London Bridge, just because it has such an excellent mix of useful pieces. Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Have to get -Fairground Mixer -Balloon stand Might get -Cloud Cuckoo Palace -Lord Business's Evil Lair -Riverside Raid -SSP Dropship -Bike Shop and Café Quote
emilstorm Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Parisian Restaurant for my wife, maybe for our anniversary :) Quote
kinggregus Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Never have there been a year I was so eager to see sets being released. Parisian Restaurat, Benny's Spaceship and Ghostbusters are three sets to buy on day 1. Interestingly, this is the first year there is no theme/line that particularly interest me. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) Funny, isn't it? I just had a look at what I posted back in January, and it's strange to see what has climbed my list, what hasn't, what I've got, and what back then I was interested in getting but have little to no interest in now. So, my amended list: Must haves: All Marvel Ecto 1 Benny's Spaceship Bad Cop's pursuit Some of the new Agents sets Classic Space mech Creator Mountain Hut Some of the City Arctic sets Lego movie minifigs Metalbeard's duel Super Secret Police dropship Could use: Some of the Police sets The DC Flash set Chima Beasts Would be nice: Pheonix tribe Chima guys The Simpsons CMF's Edited May 9, 2014 by Dr Leg O Brick Quote
talos Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I have gotten a lot already this year, but currently the 'want' list is: 60036 - Arctic Base Camp, to get the huskies and there is a polar bear too.. 60052 - Cargo Train, pricey, so may have to wait on that one, it looks like it has a lot to it.. 31026 - Bike Shop and Cafe, to be kind of a bridge between my modulars and my City sets.. 40108 - Balloon Cart freebie, looks like fun to have... I am sure I will be getting something else to have it thrown in.. 7346 - Seaside House, its a 2012 Creator set, and I am thinking its going to get retired soon... BTW, I was looking at Toys R Us site, and found the retired 'City Garage' 4207 still available, for $99.98, the original price was $120, so I got one. Have to price check them though, a lot of what they have is marked way up, the Town Hall is $250! Its $199 on Lego Shop at Home! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Looking back at my post in early January, things have definitely changed. I have become more of a minifigure person instead of sets, so instead of all Super Hero sets as I expected originally, I ended up just getting a handful of the figures I wanted. I did get all of the CMF figures so far. And a handful of LEGO Movie figures. No exclusive sets yet. Maybe for Christmas (if they are still around). And then of course Middle Earth sets that come out. Interesting how a budget can change things, huh. Quote
Thorg23 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 The Summer Star Wars Wave really hit it out of the park for me - so much OT goodness! Guaranteed Buy: 70816 Benny's Spaceship Spaceship Spaceship 75049 Snowspeeder 75051 Jedi Scout Fighter 75054 AT-AT 75055 Star Destroyer 75059 Sandcrawler Might Buy: 10188 Death Star 21108 Ghostbusters 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina Quote
Faefrost Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Too much on my list this year. Especially the back half. Ultra Agents, particularly the big Mobile Command Center Star Wars Sandcrawler, AT-AT, ghost and Phantom, Jedi Recon, mos Eisley, Arctic Icebreaker Benny's Soaceship, and the Secret Swat Gunship Whatever remains in The Hobbit Quote
Andy D Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I'm going to cut down this year, only... 2 - Parisian Restaurant The Winter Village set Maybe the new Creator Bike Shop, maybe one more set TBD. This does not include the LEGO Movie sets I already purchased and the second Pet Shop I just purchased this weekend. That's it! I'm really trying to cut back. My backlog is too big, my unsorted inventory is quite large and I have several MOCs I want to start/complete. Andy D Quote
julochka Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) Must have: ~ the Maersk Triple EEE Container Ship ~ Benny's Space Ship ~ the last of the Minecraft microworlds ~ Series 2 & 3 Mixels And then I need to get my husband on the task of building me a little house in the back yard to house all of my LEGO. Luckily, he's good like that, and being Danish, he understands my newfound obsession. Edited May 12, 2014 by julochka Quote
