Sorrow delivers solid hits to two of the vines with his crossbow. Amorith freezes and fails to act at all. Karie tries a different approach by hexing all the enemies. Thalion follows by confusing two of the vines. One of the hexed vines stuns another. Erik keeps his head, and chops one of the thinner vines with a blow of his twin axe, freeing one of the students. "Oh, thank you sir! You're my hero! " The hexed plant keeps hitting itself, but none of the other vines break yet. Rafflesia still has five vines and five captives remaining. Kintobor Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 OOC: Double Shield! Karie wrangles with the plants, in a feeble attempt to stop them from strangling the students, surprised at her amount of success. "We should... focus on the students while I've got this.... blasted thing under my control! The short guy should be a priority!" OOC: I'll post my action once we see the battle order. Quote
Cutcobra Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Heckz casts a Fire blast at Vine B from the back row yet again. Noel throws an Ice spike at Vine C from the back row. Same battle order. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 OOC: Why are you having Noel use his ether when we'll need it later on? If attacks from the back, it's the same as attacking from the front in terms of damage. Also, I'd give Noel an conditional target, since we need two people to take out Gimbur's vine, and he's at the least amount of health. "Hawke can take a bit more damage! Everyone target the vines grabbing the students, as well as something on Hawke!" Karie attacks Vine C twice. Quote
Endgame Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I attack Vine F, then Vine E. "Karie... How in the world are you doing that? I mean... How does it feel?" Edited February 15, 2014 by Endgame Quote

Cutcobra Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 OoC: English is not my native language so I'm afraid I don't know what conditional means... and after looking it up on Google I think I partially understand what it means. So I'm going to assume it means something like "Attack a target that will later cause us trouble.". Aside from that, correcting all those horrible mistakes I made in 3... 2... 1. Noel swings Rawr at Vine F from the back row. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 "Karie... How in the world are you doing that? I mean... How does it feel?" Karie was clearly struggling with the vines, her one hand glowing an ominous purple, constantly moving and jittering, the other encompassed with a black, inky tendril. She breathed heavily as she replied to Sorrow. "Like my blood's on fire and I'm being ripped in two! It's not something I enjoy doing... but it's pretty handy at times! Thailon, why are casting magic when it has no clear effect on the vines! Just swat at the darn things!" OoC: English is not my native language so I'm afraid I don't know what conditional means... and after looking it up on Google I think I partially understand what it means. So I'm going to assume it means something like "Attack a target that will later cause us trouble.". Aside from that, correcting all those horrible mistakes I made in 3... 2... 1. OOC: No problem! I understand. What I'm saying is if you target one of the vines, and the vine gets destroyed, or isn't destroyed by the time someone's attacked, create an extra action just in case, like "Karie attacks Vine F twice, unless Vine C is still alive. In that case, Karie attacks Vine C until destroyed. If Vine C is destroyed on first hit, Karie attacks Vine F." It doesn't need to be that complicated, but that's the idea. Quote
-obelix- Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Thailon, why are casting magic when it has no clear effect on the vines! Just swat at the darn things!" "Actually you are right, it doesn't seem to affect the plants like the ones I've encountered so far. Maybe this will..." Thalion replies as he puts the staves away and takes out his dagger. Quote
Endgame Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 "Luckily, when we chop off all of these vines, I will be able to absolutely decimate the main plant... I could flatten it in two hits. Karie, don't force it! If it gets too painful, just let the thing go." Quote
Cutcobra Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) OoC: I get it now, thanks fror explaining! "I think Thalion is casting spells because that's the only way for him to attack twice." Heckz sees that everyone is hitting the vines instead of casting spells, and since he wants to stay in trend he attacks Vine B with the Darkstar Wand from the back row. Noel attacks Vine F with Rawr, if Vine C is not cut, which would be very unlucky, he would instead attack Vine C. OoC: If Amortih accidentally "freezes" again, he will instead cast a Fire spell at Vine E from the back row. Edited February 15, 2014 by Cutcobra Quote
Myrddyn Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 If Vine C needs 2 hits to be K/O'ed, Erik attacks it twice. If it needs 1 hit to be K/O'ed, Erik attacks Vine C (and Vine F.)
