Sorrow's bolt flies straight to the center of the carnivorous plant, and it withers down as it dies, the evil magic that sprung it to life losing its hold on it. The students rush to help Professor Hawke out of the coils of the vine. The teacher is obviously well-liked among the students. Ubert ransacks one of the corners of the Greenhouse and pulls a crossbow out from beneath a table.

"Professor, here's your weapon that the flower tossed aside!"

The professor thanks the boy and makes a high-pitched whistle. A brown falcon descends from the ceiling where it had been hiding.

"Guinevere, to me!" The professor calls, and the falcon descends to his arm. He then turns to the heroes, with the students flocking around him in admiration.

"A hearty thank you for saving me and all of my students. My name is Guyland Hawke, and I teach the kids about flora and fauna - put in fancy terms, biology and monstrology and all that. You're from Heroica, aren't you? You've gotta let me help you beat the crap out of whoever did this to our school!"

Without listening to any objections, Professor Hawke joins the party.
