Endgame Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) I pant as the last of the armors fall. "Good riddance, cowardly bastard." "I have no need for any of this. They either cripple me or are inferior to what I have. Erik, that Hlmet may be good on you - and are you interested in the Greaves, Karie? They'd double your defense. Otherwise, though, we can save them for the rest of the party." Edited May 20, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Karie looks disapprovingly at the ruined armour lying on the floor. "Stupid things." She turns to Sorrow. "I suppose I could hold onto the greaves. They could come in handy. Seems as if though I wasn't very helpful this fight... at all." Quote
Endgame Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 She said the same thing about the dress, if memory serves. "...I just got this really weird mental image of you wearing the greaves and that "dress" - more like a scrap of fabric - of yours... But, uhm, ahem. Karie. Allow me to put it this way. You may have dorve an armor or two into hiding, sure. But if you didn't that armor would've done more than try to cower. It would've attempted to murder one of us. You do a lot more than you think." Kintobor Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Karie shifts awkwardly where she stands, rubbing her arm. "...I don't know. Endgame Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 "I strongly - strongly - suspect we all do, in one form or another. Admitting a problem is the first step to solving it, they say. Take comfort in your achievements." Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) To PCs Erik slides his sword into his belt and looks around the room at the armour that they had wrecked, and at the armour that had been wrecked by Syrio before they arrived. "Pretty cowardly for things that weren't even alive to begin with. Sorrow's right, Karie. You can't be blamed for those things running off to hide every time they saw you coming." "Aye, I'd love that bascinet. Ain't she a beauty?" Erik holds it up and looks into the faceplate, before hanging it from his sword-hilt and turning to the students, Sorsha and Nuitan. To NPCs "Nice work, you two. Sorsha, that was a great hit on the Kettle Helm one, and Nuitan, that was a miraculous job healing me, immediately after I got hit by that Burgeonet." He turns to Syrio. "I think someone said your name's Syrio. I'm Erik. We were hired to get your kids out of here safely, and hunt down the guy who caused all this. We've got a box Noel Shadeaux Ziegfried has been using to teleport people out of here with, and there's another group of us somewhere - we split up to cover ground faster." "We can send you out of here if you want, but you look like a fighter, and we could do with your help." Edited May 21, 2014 by Myrddyn Quote
Kintobor Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 But what achievements do I really have? Karie sighs in exhaustion. It was no use arguing her own laments. "Let's just keep moving. We should check in on the others and see what progress they've made." Karie rummages her person for a pencil and paper and begins to write to Noel. "Noel, we've cleared the armoury and found Syrio. What rooms have you been through? We'll cover the rest." She then folds it up and writes her name on the front. "I've got Z-Mail." Quote

OOC: I know which rooms are left. We've got the Girls Lavatory and the Student Lounge. The Archives are locked so there's no going in there. I just want word from Sandy since Karie doesn't know. QM Note: I don't control Noel, Cutcobra does. Thalion follows Heckz to the musical classroom. On the way there, he turns to Drucilla, "I would imagine the members of the faculty would do something to contain an incident like that... How did the school cope with the aftermath of that event? " "Unfortunately the culprit was never identified, so the case was practically swept under the rug. We would have loved to forget all about it, but much to our chagrin the murdered girl's father came to us, demanding the killer's head on a platter. Of course we could not satiate his vengefulness, so he made a public debacle out of it. The Town Watch had to drag him away, he would not cease otherwise. I felt terrible about it for a while, but then my baby... well, other things happened." Drucilla falls to her thoughts as the party reaches the Music Classroom. They can hear a horrible racket inside, like a whole band of musicians playing different tunes at once. They could also discern bursts of laughter mixing with the discordant music. Wasting no further time, the party rushed in with the teachers and the students in tow. "Eeyyaaah!!!" shouted the janitor and turned on his heels, running away. What had scared him was a black, lustrous mass with instruments jutting out of it in the middle of the classroom. Another teacher and two students were standing around the lump of musicians. "Drucilla! Claymora! Come, join us! You too, children! Feel the rhythm in your blood!" "Aunt Hymnessamine! What has gotten into you?! Can't you see the demon smack-dab middle of the room?" "Oh, loosen up, Drucilla! It's just music!" The rockling teacher begun to jiggle her portly body, and the students found from the Atelier followed suite. The heroes just stared for a while as the crowd danced along the dissonant tune. Not Drucilla nor Noel, though. The Ziegfried youngster tried to make his gothic werecrow friend snap out of the trance. "Crowley, what the hell are you doing?!" "Caw! Noel, can't you feel the boogie?!" "Nugwug shake booty." "Guys, we have to make this stop! This is way too embarrassing!!!" PREPARE FOR BATTLE! -obelix- Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Thalion swings his staves at Saxophone, from front row. OOC: Sorry for the quick post but I have to go, I will update when I get home. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 QM Note: I don't control Noel, Cutcobra does. OOC: But you control NPC interactions? So does Noel need Cutcobra's permission to respond to me with a letter? That seems a little silly to me. Karie taps her foot impatiently. "Damn it, he hasn't respond. Perhaps it would be wise to go to the next wing and see where the other group is?" Quote
Endgame Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 "Lets wait until we get a response. If their foes are anything like the armor, we should be fine." Quote
legobodgers Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I could throw my neutraliser, none of us have drunk any potions and it would severely weaken the enemies. Quote
Endgame Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Good idea, legobodgers, but they'd regenerate the effects instantly. It's until they're destroyed, so it'd have no effect. Quote
Cutcobra Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 "Should I use the magic lamp thingy and kill them all instantly?" Noel starts sending a letter to Karie. "Yeah, we already covered the Broom Closet, the Atelier. Right now we are in the Music Classroom and we are killing some Music demons. They're a bit hard, but they are not Aureole hard. Heckz is planning on using the lamp to kill them all instantly." Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I'm assuming Karie receives the letter and relays it to the rest of the party. "Hmph. If they need the genie, perhaps we could run down there and take out the demons together without it? Save that wish, perhaps?" Erik starts running towards the music room. Quote
Endgame Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I follow Erik, and beckon for the rest of the party to follow. "Bohring talked about this bastard, didn't he?" Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 "Bohring talked about this bastard, didn't he?" "Which bastard is that?" "Sorsha, mind lending me that Chair or Plunger, in case we encounter etherial enemies?" Erik accepts any non-elemental weapon offered to him. Quote
