Sandy Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 "Noel... how long have you known... did... any of us get letters?" "Sorry, no. Mom wrote that the Veterans kept asking after you, though." The group makes it's way past the rubble and steps through the front doors for the first time. Outside it's bright and warm. Some familiar faces are gawking up at them from the bottom of the stairs. "Mom!!!" Noel runs down the stairs, past the guards and into his mother's embrace. "Noel! Thank Isiris you're alright! You are alright, aren't you?" "Duh! Of course I am! I had the best of the best to look after me." Noel winks at the heroes. Detective Hoples approaches the party. "You really gave me a jump! This lot has been vacant for half a year now, and out of nowhere the academy just crashed right back in! Luckily we had restricted the area so that nobody was crushed. But the provost won't like it when he sees the shape the building is... You, however, don't look much worse to wear. Valentine explained that you are still living the same day you left us. How intriguing... Anyway, the provost is on his way over. He will want to hear everything." "Many other people are grateful to you as well, so please stick around for a while. They surely want to show their gratitude. But let us Ziegfrieds be the first. Having saved my son, you are all hereby considered friends of my family." Does the party want to say anything to Hoples or Valentine while waiting for the provost and the others? Quote
Endgame Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 "Six whole months... Valentine, you should be proud of your son. Very proud. Of all pf the students we saved, Noel was brave, vigilant, cooperative, throughout all of it. After what he did back there, I think he'd make a fine wizaed king - that's what he aspires for, if I'm not mistaken. Speaking of, did everyone we sent back come back okay?" Quote
Cutcobra Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 "Duh! Of course I am! I had the best of the best to look after me." Noel winks at the heroes. Heckz whispers to the other heroes. "I know you won't accept it, but he's obviously talking about me." He then turns to the Detective. "I expected a welcome party that would last 5 days and 4 days, so this is rather dissapointing." He then speaks in a more serious tone. "By the way, there might have been some casualties back there..." He then turns to Drucilla. "Are you okay with all that's happened? I remember you mentioning devoting your life to the school so I wanted to know if you were all right after certain..." He looks at the badly damaged school. "... dents and scratches. So if you need to let anything out you can tell me, okay?" He then replaces the Spellbound Gloves for the Magician's Gloves and Watt's Artifact for the Bad Luck Charm. Quote
Myrddyn Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 "Duh! Of course I am! I had the best of the best to look after me." Noel winks at the heroes. "You were handy to have around yourself. Tell you what, one of the Veterans back at the hall might be able to help you branch out your magic skills a bit. Like how Amorith combines healing with his spellcasting, and Thalion and Heckz sometimes manage to confuse their opponents." "You really gave me a jump! Kintobor Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Karie feels disappointed that no one wrote to her for six long months. Guinevere nudges her compassionately, to which Karie pets her on the head. At least the veterans were looking after it's heroes, for once. The warm sun nearly blinds her. She takes off her cloak as she watches Noel and Valentine embrace. She wearily smiles, even though she felt off. Detective Hoples approaches the party. "You really gave me a jump! Perhaps you should stick around for his arrival? There's something bothering me about all this..." She scowls at the mention of the provost. She still had unanswered questions... "Valentine, I'm just glad your son's alright. Do you have any idea of who else is showing up?" Quote
-obelix- Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Thalion smiles in relief, "Detective, Mrs. Ziegfried, very nice to see you again." He looks at detective and Valentine and nods, "I'll stay." Quote

Myrddyn Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 While he waits for the Provost to appear, Erik turns to Sorrow. "Now we're out of there, Sorrow, can you pass me Djinnifer's magic lamp? I'd like to see what she wants from me." Quote
Endgame Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) "Certainly." Pulling it out of one of my cloak's myriad pockets, I hand Eric Djinnifer's magic lamp. Edited July 11, 2014 by Endgame Quote

Sandy Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 "Speaking of, did everyone we sent back come back okay?" "I couldn't be more of Noel. He portrayed great skill during this ordeal. The transportation via the box was rough, and there were bruises, concussions and a few broken limbs, but we had clerics to take care of everyone." "By the way, there might have been some casualties back there..." "We are aware. There were a couple of nasty surprises when we opened the box, after all." He then turns to Drucilla."Are you okay with all that's happened? I remember you mentioning devoting your life to the school so I wanted to know if you were all right after certain..." He looks at the badly damaged school. "... dents and scratches. So if you need to let anything out you can tell me, okay?" Drucilla just nods and stays silent, having lost words for once. "Well, in that case I'll wait until he arrives to give a full report. And I suppose I should direct most of my questions towards him, but perhaps you can tell me what ended up happening with the Dean?" "Ah, Dean Bumblebore... Such a tragic case. He confessed his involvement on the murder of Isabeau Carpenter, but since there was no one to make any claims from him, we let him go. He hanged himself that same evening. The provost was more than eager to brush it all under the rug, so this is hush-hush information I'm giving you here." "Detective, I'm glad the provost is coming. Perhaps you should stick around for his arrival? There's something bothering me about all this..." "Dear Miss, I have no intention of going anywhere. Me and the boys will investigate the condition of the building now and locate the remaining... ahem, casualties." "Valentine, I'm just glad your son's alright. Do you have any idea of who else is showing up?" "I am certain everyone you saved will want to come and show their gratitude." "Thanks." Erik rubs the lamp. The genie princess pops out of the lamp, and looks around in dismay. "What, another change of master?! What am I, your team trophy you can all just pass along? I need some serious dedication from my carrier! You know what I wish for? I wish that my lamp is given to someone who actually makes some damn wishes!" The party then hears a bawing sound, followed by a loud shout. "MISS KARIE! NOEL! GUYS! YOU MADE IT BACK!" Sorsha runs to the party with a big grin on her face, along with a large group of barbaric people - and a sheep. "EVERYONE! THIS IS MY FAMILY! THEY CAME TO THE CITY WHEN THEY HEARD I WAS MISSING, AND WHEN I RETURNED THEY WANTED TO STICK AROUND TO WAIT FOR YOU WITH ME!" The oldest of the men approaches the heroes. He was beaming with pride. "Good day and soft wools to you all! I am Chief Tarlock of the Sheep Tribe, Sorsha's proud father. She told me she fought demons alongside you heroes. I always took her as a bookish type, but now she's proven to be a true warrior of the Sheep Tribe!" "EXCEPT THAT WE'RE MORE SHEPHERDS THAN WARRIORS, DAD..." "Sheep are not to be underestimated, let me tell you! Under all that fluffy cuteness beats a valiant and unyielding heart! As a token of our tribe's greatfulness, we wish to give you this sheep." The tribesmen push the sheep forward. "HER NAME IS BAAFFY!" "Baah!!!" Quote

He then turns to the Sheep Tribe, clearly excited at the mention of a gift. "Oooh! A gift? Please, tell me it's hair gel. The one metalface gave me was... not good." He says looking at the Blue Jelly Jeaux gifted him. His face looks more sad as the Chief mentions a sheep. "Oh, an animal... maybe I can make clothes out of it..." He then turns to Karie. "You seem surrounded by animals lately, maybe you want it?" Heckz keeps waiting for the other people, they were wasting his precious beauty sleep. Ungratefull little... Kintobor Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Karie taps her foot impatiently, waiting for the dean to show up until she hears the sound of a sheep bawing. The party then hears a bawing sound, followed by a loud shout. "MISS KARIE! NOEL! GUYS! YOU MADE IT BACK!" Sorsha runs to the party with a big grin on her face, along with a large group of barbaric people - and a sheep. "Sorsha! I'm just glad you made it back alright!" Karie hugs Sorsha, knowing it must have been awhile since she'd seen her. "And the same goes for you as it does Noel, please don't call me Miss Karie!" As Chief Tarlock introduces himself, Karie nods. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Chief. Your daughter was a reliable assistance to us throughout the whole ordeal." Suddenly the sheep gets pushed forward. "As a token of our tribe's greatfulness, we wish to give you this sheep." The tribesmen push the sheep forward. "HER NAME IS BAAFFY!" "Baah!!!" Karie blinks bewilderingly at the sheep as it's presented, not sure what to do now that she has the possession of a sheep and a falcon and Hershey... wherever she slinked off to for six months... "Well I... I could take the sheep. I mean, it is a gift after all, and... well, I'll take the sheep." Quote

What am I, your team trophy you can all just pass along? I need some serious dedication from my carrier! You know what I wish for? -obelix- Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Thalion greets the Sheep Tribe with a smile and a slight bow, and turns around looking around for provost. Sandy Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 QM Note: Apologies for my short absence, I spent a night at a summer cottage. This ending is a bit prolonged with the people showing up few at a time (because I need your response to some of them), so please hang on. "Well I... I could take the sheep. I mean, it is a gift after all, and... well, I'll take the sheep." "GREAT! I'M SURE YOU'LL TAKE GOOD CARE OF BAAFFY! SHE'S A SPECIAL KIND OF LAMB, VERY GENTLE AND DOCILE!" The sheep scutters over to Karie and nudges her feet. Baaffy (Whenever used, puts a random enemy fast asleep) Amorith takes the lamp and rubs it. "Here we go again... What is it that you want, beardy elf? Why didn't the hairy guy just fulfill my wish by making a wish himself?!" As the debacle with Djinnifer continues, more people start to show up. Approaching from opposite directions, two pairs of siblings from the Hinckwell and the Shadeaux families come to the heroes. "Mercí beaucoup four retourning my cher petit frère, 'eroes! You 'ave vraiment shown zat you are true amies of ze Shadeaux famille!" "The gratitude of the Hinckwells far outmatches that of those foreigners, heroes! You saved our shining evening star, and for that, our family always smiles upon you!" "Shut your mouz, Lorcan 'Inckwell! Zese noble champions will neveur side wiz you!" "Ha! Why would they want to have anything to do with your shady folk?" Lyren and Nuitan just look at each other, exasperated. "I t-think you just have to ch-ch-choose, guys." "Yeah, which one of our families you want to buddy up with?" The heirs of the Hinckwells and the Shadeaux wait for each of the heroes' answer. Quote

Thank you, Sorsha!" Karie nudges her way towards the front, sheep close behind, and steps towards the Hinckwells, and speaks to Lorcan in a hushed voice. "Sir, I'd appreciate forgiveness after what happened with my last encounter with your house. My fellow heroes at the time who gave the Shadeux those bombs were... rather idiotic." Quote

But it is a pleasure to know your loyalties rest with us, miss." "Thalion Dwinlas, at your service my lady." "Much obliged, Monsieur Dwinlas." "Who's richer?" He asks seriously.
