Or I could try and hit him until he's petrified - never had much luck with that, though. Erik casts healing on the reaper through Voltedge. You actually have several ways to defeat the enemy which are pretty obvious if you just use your logic. So presumably we can beat him without the artifact. Quote

He was handsome and vain. And traitorous. You know what I did to him after my party beat him and his cronies up? I carved his face. He plead me not to, but I did. I gave one deep scar into his devilishly handsome cheek. Call me useless one more time and I'll paint your face black and blue."
