Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Hello, besides the Narsil-thing posted a short while ago we have also been working on our own version of the Lord Mayor's house in Lake Town: We were quite happy with the result (but of course, we have seen more masterful exhibits on the net). A quick glimpse into the inside: Pity, the bookshelf on the left has not been captured well.... ok, next time. Bye. Quote
CardinalBricks Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 This is great. It really fits in with the set! Love the catapult on the top too; that's pretty recognizable. Quote
Bring More Popcorn Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Very nice build. Now we just need to stick Bard on top and have him fire some black arrows at Smaug! Quote
mpoh98 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Wonderful Rendition, I love the crossbow on top, and the roof is great! The color scheme is lovely as well! All around great work man! Quote
Fletcher Floyd Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I agree, totally cool set. It surely fits well with the original Laketown-Chase-Set. Quote
Infernum Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Nice MOC! I really like the roof, and the various textures! Nice work on the upper wooden section! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 @Bring more popcorn: Bard is on the right side of the building. However, we'll have to wait for the third film until we know how Bard is going to deal with Smaug! Quote
Lasse Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Very nice house and great use of the black plates from the collectible minifigures Quote
Godtshep Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Really nice MOC and lovely use of the display bases, but you really need to make the full Great House... Quote
ZevesdroX Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Looks great! Would also look great with the Lake Town set! Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 (edited) I think this is very good and has a high level of detail to the exterior. I think the only improvement that I would personally make is to add some more items to the interior. Edited March 18, 2014 by Legoman123 Quote
ED-209 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Very cool indeed! I particularly like the crossbow/balista. I'd love to see how the interior of the roof is constructed? Quote
Mr. Cube Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Very nice MOC! I would just replace that pike which has the soldier in the tower with the crossbow or bow.Pike is useless weapon for that place, imo. Quote
Steel Tiger Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 (edited) This is a pretty good MOC. The only thing I would add is some more detail on the inside room on the left. It looks a little bit plain to me. It was a nice touch to put the water bricks on the bottom as well. Edited March 20, 2014 by Steel Tiger Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 I'd love to see how the interior of the roof is constructed? Sorry ED-209, I did not see your question. The roof is a very fragile affair. I have used 2x1 bricks with holes, attached them to each side of the roof and have linked them with technic elements. (and if you look at it, it falls apart...) I think the only improvement that I would personally make is to add some more items to the interior. Agreed - I just had no inspiration at the time. Very nice MOC! I would just replace that pike which has the soldier in the tower with the crossbow or bow.Pike is useless weapon for that place, imo. You're right! Looks great! Would also look great with the Lake Town set! That's what it was made for Thanks again for all your friendly comments! Quote
TheRedViper Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 This is great, keep up the good work! Quote
Mahtion Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 1000x better than the official Lake Town Attack set coming in October. The tower and windlance look very good. We all need to make our own sets. Quote
Balthazar Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Amazing and realistic house made in beautiful colours Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 That's very nice - love the colour scheme! Quote
ZCerberus Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Would fit in well with the official set. Quote
Staslegomaster Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 You're rather good at creating details. That's why you can probably notice what improvements my creation needs. Quote
