I'd love to do a Kiwi town, but I'd have no idea how to do all those wooden weatherboards! (Plus it'd look a lot like New Mannum I'm guessing!)

Well, you could build a 4 Square store and a Hammer hardware store along side of it......I just love geography don't you ?

Anyway the bank design is almost complete.....well on the exterior on LDD......interior is a sticking point but I'll get there.......updating a.s.a.p.......keep watching !

Wow fancy banks you got there in the land of oz.

Yeah, some fancy and others pretty plain.....though I will say the backdrop when I make that part will be a sticker.....too hard any other way.

The front walls are an issue, but the counter is fine in LDD......the walls.....back to the drawing board again.......keep watching !

Ah, yes the Railway Hotel will be expanded upon and go next to the bank which will be in brick in the next few days......an ANZAC statue has crossed my mind as well.....better keep watching eh ?

Similar to writers-block, I have brick-builders-block......this bank is causing me serious headaches.

The corner design is the problem, I see why Lego doesn't do too many sets that have corner entrances on them.....looks like it's back to the drawing board and even longer wait ! :cry_sad:

Maybe it would help to check out some of the techniques from the corner modulars. Cafe Corner in particular has an entrance that could be very easily adapted for your purpose here...

The set does use an old frameless 5 high door but it can be easily adapted to fit a 6 high framed door.

I'm totally with you. I just can't work out the upper floor plan - school holidays aren't helping! There are loads of corner build MOCs on here, did you see the Monde Cinema entrace? It'd be over-scale, but perhaps something with an overhang like that?

I'm trying some different tricks......but I might have to go back to a standard frontage for a bank than a corner one.......I'm going to keep trying !

It's finally started.....the bank that is and I'm using a few different tricks including SNOT to get the right look and feel for my new old bank.

I'll try and have some images up of the exterior at least tomorrow......keep watching !

Wow, you have really been busy. I am looking forward to seeing this old bank. We have a few old ones around here, but there is a new one built somewhere nearby every other month, it seems. I really like the older buildings to be renovated as opposed to see them torn down.

BTW, it's about -1o F outside, so you can send some of that summer heat my way. :sceptic:

Thanks 'Only Sinner' for your kind words, etc., I must knuckle down and get the walls up today......yesterday, it was like one of those slap-face-why-didn't-I-think-of -that-before moments.....keep watching !

Spot the difference time again.......but I need to buy more tiles for the inside plus sticker designing time next.......plus I need to design an extension to the left of the windows.

This is becoming my largest bank design yet.

You can see the counter, once I have the tiling completed in this section I'll photograph the interior.

Keep watching !

Looking good! I see you worked out the kinks with your corner door very nicely.

Thanks 'sin', yeah, I did finally work out how to do it.......just the interior to fix now and parts of that.....well actually are a bit tougher to fix than my door problems.

Keep watching !

Thanks 'monsinjor' and 'LWT' for your kind words, tomorrow I will try and finish the bank off.......stickers will be challenge.....you don't know how hard a Bank SA branch is detailed especially around the ATM.

Keep watching !

Looking good alright! Those sights are superb.

Like Wanganui. All you'd need is a high school, a pub, and a Pak'n'Save.
