Cammo Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Where do you live? Belgium It's really weird their restock date is the 4th. The regular buyer didnt even had the chance to purchase and now they have to wait an extra 3 days. I think some will be quite disappointed when they enter he stores on the 1st of Feb. Quote

Well, that really sucks! I was planning a trip to Wijnegem on Feb. 1st. Or do have this wrong? I thought it would only be available in Lego stores? Will it also be available in like Bart Smit? Quote
ChrisW Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I ordered The Simpsons house as soon as it became available on the UK site and my order still shows as "In Process". Is that normal? It's my first time ordering from the online store so i'm really not sure when it comes to their statuses. The item is now out of stock until February 6th and i'll be extremely disappointed if I somehow miss out and have to wait until then. I'm in the exact same boat. Ordered straight after it became available for order here in Australia, and mine still says "In Process". Not happy if I have to wait till the 6th. Quote

Since I can't post you a private message: Hello/hallo I don't know if you're a Walloon or Flemish.(therefore the post is in English.) I actually didn't call the LEGO store in Lille or Wijnegem so I don't know if it's in stock in their shops. All I know is that the online LEGO website is out of stock. Despite the fact that they're might be a box or 2 in Wijnegem I don't think they will last very long. (I live too far to go to Wijnegem with bus/train/tram/whatever.) As for your other question if it will be available at Bart Smit stores: I highly doubt it will (or at least not in the first 2-3 months.) + I advise you to buy it at an official LEGO store and at the same time take a VIP-license card (which is free.) Because if you do buy it with a VIP-card, you can get a reduction of 10 euro for you next purchase. (each 100 euro gives you a 5 dollar reduction.) Kind regards Quote

Groetjes, Linda Quote

Groetjes, Linda Indeed, that what I meant ;) (I'm also Dutch-speaking so you can address me in Dutch if you make a personal message once you get 10 posts like 'Rick' said. Can you let me know if there are still some available when they're still in stock over there? They often tend to keep some extra in stock to store in the aisles for regular buyers going on the 1st of Feb in this case. They did the same thing in Lille (Rijsel) for the Orthanc Tower. Quote
Cult of Shezmu Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I love the detail on this (even if the minifigs look kind of strange). £120 seems a little steep but my inner 10-year old is going nuts over the Lego/Simpsons combo :) Quote

I'm from the UK, mine still shows as "In Process" but it has shipped and is currently at my local depot. It is a glitch! You can find your tracking number if you keep clicking the order number to bring up the whole order, in the same box as billing and postal address. Edited January 20, 2014 by Lemmiwinkles Quote
Domer_Simpsoy Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Mine doesn't have a tracking number :( Quote

Nachapon Lego Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Lego Simpsons 71006 LDD FPS walk with live piano performance. The dining room and kitchen are too small. So I modify them a bit. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=90739 Edited January 21, 2014 by bbqqq Quote
HawkLord Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I picked this up at the Bellevue Lego store, which had it on display and on the shelf. Meanwhile the Alderwood store did not have it on display or on the shelf. Quote
kNoXLegion Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Does anyone know how much stock they have in Oberhausen? I bought mine last weekend after preordering and they didn´t have any extra in stock. They did get a new shipment last monday. Just call them and make a reservation. I´m actually a little bit disappointed with this set. I don`t like the "sleepy eyes" look of Homer, Marge and Bart. IMHO the best minifigs are Maggie and Ned. Also the doll-/playhouse look of the set is bothering me, i really would prefer a more modular build. And the most annoying thing for me are the small windows in the bedrooms. The bed in the master bedroom covers the window. Oh, and I almost forgot the roofless car :( Quote
mostlytechnic Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Got one last friday at the local Lego store. Built over the weekend. Love the interior furnishings, some clever designs there (crib, etc). The outside is bland compared to modulars, but it looks like the "real thing" so can't really complain. Just tedious to build. Main complaint is that the walls with the house-garage pin connection are WEAK. Most of the time when I try to attach the two, one or more of the walls collapse and need rebuilt. You pretty much have to push from inside the house and garage to attach them. Quote
ndawgg Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I agree with the walls where the garage and house connect are too weak. My two walls exploded when I tried to push them together and had be rebuilt. Very frustrating! Also, I don't know if it's just me but I find some of the "removable" furniture never actually stays in place. The piano will NOT stay no matter what I do. I've tried putting the floor tiles on it first and then putting the whole thing down on the base and it still pops off immediately. I don't know if it has something to do with the arch beside it pushing against it? I wish it had been a regular flat 2x2 plate for the floor rather than the one with one hole. (I guess I can always do that myself). Overall I'm very happy we got a full SImpsons house but I think it definitely would have been better if it was done modular style, rather than swing open dollhouse style. Especially for things like the table/chairs which barely fit into one side when the kitchen is pulled apart. Excited for the minifigs and hopefully more sets in the future! Quote
WallyTheCat Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Same with me unfortunately, no tracking number. Anyone else experiencing the same? My order was placed on the 17th and only this morning did it get a tracking number. It still says "In Process", even though the tracking number has "Picked Up". The items in the order do now have a ship date of 21 Jan 2014. It is still going to take a while to get to New Zealand from past experience it will be at least another week. Quote
Lemmiwinkles Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 My UK order arrived this morning. I had the same problem with Orthanc and they ended up doing next day delivery for free. Funnily enough, this set is a birthday present so I'm not allowed to open it :( Quote
eldiano Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) Bought an extra one by accident, I went to the local lego store and on my way out saw the simpsons set, and asked for it and sure enough they had it, bought it, but my wife as a surprise ordered me one since monday and as of yet have not received it. The system is a bit slow. THIS HOUSE IS AMAZING!!!! not fan of the lego mini figures, but I am sure if you repaint the eyes to all white rather than half closed they would look totally different, but I did noticed the lack of a fridge, even then though I never owned a lego set with that much detail in it!!! Wow my favorite piece is the bathroom, I wonder what other figures or sets they plan to release with this, I hope ned flander's house, or burns mansion ever comes out! I mean now that the first set is a full scale house, everything else would look a bit off though. Edited January 22, 2014 by eldiano Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I should point out Marge has a peg sized hole in the top of her hair. I'm sure it has something to do with the CMF series, but what? -Sci Quote

It's probably something to keep the moulding costs down, or like 'English Electric' and 'eldiano' said, something to prevent choking. Quote
