Nick Jaremek Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I agree on the Lisa's sax matter, maybe it will appear along the Lisa figure of the Simpsons Minifigures Series (13 I think?) since it seems a rather special item. Hell, for $200 they could have added it in this set! Another thing: why Marge's legs do not have her shoes printed on? Even Bart has his shoes printed, Marge seems to walk around barefoot. Anyway, I guess this set is worth the $200 it costs. Quote
Renthicya Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Finally, a complete house with a back side, not just a half one! Might start to buy LEGO again. Quote
jfbat Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Finally, a complete house with a back side, not just a half one! Might start to buy LEGO again. Lego have done quite a view of these in the last years. Look at the Creator series and to some extent the Mopdulars (Pet Shop has a townhouse in the set, for example). Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Oh crap, there goes money. Definitive must have! Thanks for sharing! Quote
Almaras22 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 AU$329 - OUCH! Daaammmnnn! Where'd you get that from? Quote
Zzz Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Imagine this news in the SW or LotR section - would we only have 4 pages of replies? Any great MOC would do better in the amount of feedback it would get I believe. I wonder how this line will be doing. Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 A totally super impressive set ever for 2014. It is a very nice surprise to see this! And, I can't believe that I am more interested in the set than the minifigures itself. The entire house is just like a beauty. Quote

Hell, for $200 they could have added it in this set! I'm thinking they saved it as the special character defining item to package with her in the CMF. Let's be honest, while their are tons of neat items that you can attach to Bart, Homer or even Maggie, There are very few accessories that really scream Lisa beyond her sax. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Has anyone noticed Marge is looking towards Ned standing by the BBQ in a cheeky way ? (well, he is single now.....oh, wait what about Homer ? ) Quote
just2good Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Has anyone noticed Marge is looking towards Ned standing by the BBQ in a cheeky way ? (well, he is single now.....oh, wait what about Homer ? ) Ha! Marge has always had a thing for Ned. Stuff like this makes me want to get Marge's fantasized shirtless Ned as a minifigure. And, Ned isn't single, it's just that Edna is a retired character. So technically she's still around. I hope she comes in the CMF series, but she isn't the most exciting character. I guess we'll see soon. Quote
Tromboon Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 ...Marge's fantasized shirtless Ned as a minifigure. What? Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Remember Ned's wife fell to her death at a football game a few years back even before the film came out. Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Remember Ned's wife fell to her death at a football game a few years back even before the film came out. And then he married Edna Krabappel. Quote
just2good Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 What? I forget which episode that is... Who then also died (the voice actor). The character is still technically alive, but I'm not sure if we'll see her in a LEGO set as she's a retired character. It depends how long ago this CMF series was produced. If it was before the death of the VA, then we may see her in the CMF series. Quote
Tromboon Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I forget which episode that is... If you're talking about "A Streetcar Named Marge" then that was no fantasy. (It was a play) And Marge doesn't have a thing for Ned! Quote

I was talking about this version. According to the Wikia, it was "How Flanders was once pictured by Marge when she was writing a book." Again, I don't remember the episode. Back to this house set, I'm starting to think we won't see an early V.I.P. release for it. Which is perfect. February 1st is a Saturday, so I'm off that day! Quote

Skinny Boy Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 T-shirt arms. I've wanted them for years but didn't think they were possible. Thank you TLG. Thank you Matt Groening. Quote
BrickG Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Okay so the blindbags... Normal Homer, Flanders and Marge will likely be in them. Just their basic clothing. But this set seems to contain normal Bart, Lisa and Maggie already, besides the eyes (potentially). Will the blind bags just have the same ones? Probably with new gear like the sax of course but... that seems kind of weak. :P At the same time I'd kind of doubt we'd get get something really unique for them since that would mean the only way you'd get the normal ones is by spending $200. So no Bartman. Quote
alois Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I'm pretty sure that there will be an early release, but I'm more than likely wrong. You are pretty sure but likely wrong? Quote
larsyuipo Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I may not get it :( my dad thinks is overpriced. While I think it has a nuce price for this amount of pieces Quote
gedren_y Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 (edited) It is already listed on the US Lego Shop At Home as available Feb. 1. Edit: Just noticed there is a picture of Grandpa Simpson in the stairwell, possibly a printed tile, and a couple more of that new planter part as lights on the ceiling.
