CorneliusMurdock Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 If it's the size of a peg, they might give marge a hair accessory in the CMFs. I can't think of an episode where she had something in her hair there but I haven't watched regularly for quite a few years now. Quote

The smallest I tried is the tip of the antenna piece, and that doesn't fit. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Still too big for a friends bow or a plume, as well? Probably a molding reason then. I don't know if a little hole makes a piece like that any safer. Could have more to do with suction when trying to get the head off the neck. Quote
BrickG Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Either suction of the molding process to make it hallow (I assume it is). Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It might be for the hat she wears to church. Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 It has arrived : Gah, lucky! I'm not getting mine until tonight or this weekend. I've got $230 set aside! -Sci Quote
gratefulnat Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Mine arrived today as well But will just look at the bags full of goodies until I have time on the weekend to build For the first time in two years my son thinks LEGO might be sort of cool again - maybe I'll be able to convince him to build a little with me, been a while... SMC Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Saw the house in MK shop yesterday and it looks great, a must have for me now. Box is big super deep. Can't wait to see all the cmf. Quote
marcosbessa Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (...) The piano will NOT stay no matter what I do. I've tried putting the floor tiles on it first and then putting the whole thing down on the base and it still pops off immediately. I don't know if it has something to do with the arch beside it pushing against it? I wish it had been a regular flat 2x2 plate for the floor rather than the one with one hole. (I guess I can always do that myself). (...) Hi ndawgg! Are you trying to place the piano right agains the wall? I was surprised with you comment, since it never really was an issue during the development process of the model to place the piano in its place. I'm wondering if you are trying to place it closer to the wall than it's meant to be and therefore making the arch kinda push it out of place. Could you give it another look and let me know if the issue is really there? Thank you :) Quote

Thank you for your nice words, but Jamie is still - and will for sure continue to be - one of my biggest references here in the company! ;) Don't tell him! hehe Quote
Dayton Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 This would be a great addition to a modular city! Quote
astra Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I can't find it on Eurobricks (yet?), but on Brickset.com huw and CapnRex101 are doing a review on The Simpsons house, reviewing it per bag as it seems. For those (including myself) who are still in doubt, go read it, it is an interesting read Quote
Kez Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I finally purchased this set today, so far I've got up to bag 3 but what I've built so far is looking really promising and I was actually surprised by how big the set and box was, infact when I was carrying the box around it was that heavy that it caused the bag to rip , can't wait to finish the rest soon enough Quote
MusicaRibelle Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 It took me three evenings to build it, but it is fantastic! Yes, the piano doesn't stay put, and the dining room chairs fly all over the place when opening and closing the house..I guess it's time for some modifications over the weekend. I've just started with Lego after three decades, it's been a blast! Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Wow that was a painfully long build, About 4 hours lol Though it's an amazing set! I saw there after I finished and I said "Wow." Truly one of the best LEGO sets ever! -Sci Quote

Cammo Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 What a service! I ordered it around 11.00 pm on Thursday and it only took 1 day and a half to get it at my doorstep Quote
eldiano Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Wiggle the piano a bit for it to fit in, that happened to me while I was fitting it in place but the Lego piece is a bit far from the wall and a bit off from the arch, I wish I could the house to move the bedroom on top of the garage but I ain't that much creative, the only flaw I have is that marge's hair is too large and won't lay down flat on the bed lol Quote
Kez Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I discovered issues with the piano until I realised that I had placed it too close to the wall, it is perfectly placed now so shouldn't move unless applied with force, so to those who are having issues make sure that you have placed the piano correctly as shown in the instructions (back part of the plate under the piano onto the 2x2 flat with connector piece, instead of applying the piano directly into the middle of the 2x2 if that makes any sense ) Quote
BrickG Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I finally got mine but I think I'll wait until I can do the house proper (which would require 2). Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I saw it at the LEGO store today, and it's amazing! Quote
Kez Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I finished building it earlier today and I must say it is a fantastic display piece, I'm actually surprised at how heavy the completed model is, it has a fair bit of weight to it. IMO its well worth the buy, a big thanks to Marcos Bessa for yet another fantastic designed set, I'm so pleased with the final outcome. Quote
