Posted January 12, 201411 yr Just thought I'd share this beautiful cement mixer I found on Brickshelf. Seems to be a mostly studless construction More pics are on Brickshelf http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=538532 Edited January 12, 201411 yr by Rishab N
January 12, 201411 yr That is the best cement truck I've seen, love the panel constructed drum, very nicely done
January 12, 201411 yr Very high quality work!!! Especially i like smooth lines of all parts of the machine and of course high detalization! What kind of panel is used for the middle section of the drum? This section is assembled from "1x4 slope curved" parts!
January 12, 201411 yr Wow, amazing studless mixer! Impressive how the builder manage to create beautiful curves with studless. I still like Bosman's mixer the best, totally different, but with plates and bricks.
January 12, 201411 yr Very impressive. It was only the other day my son and I were chatting about how cool a PF Cement Mixer would be..... and now this awesome MOC appears. I'd like to see this as an official set.... although I'd rather have an orange/white or blue/white colour scheme.
January 12, 201411 yr Lovely paneling! With a few tweaks I could imagine an Official TLG set like that...and with some internal worm screw made out of ribbed or flex tubing :D
January 12, 201411 yr This section is assembled from "1x4 slope curved" parts! Ah yes, I see it now. Very impressive work.
January 12, 201411 yr This mixer is created by a Chinese player and he posts here http://www.lelezhen.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=30988&extra=page%3D1 ( Chinese forum) and he also shares the Ldd file.
January 12, 201411 yr Wow, I have never seen such a filled out studless model! Thanks for the share. tim
January 12, 201411 yr That's a really nice build. The barrell is very clever, we must leave no stone unturned. H
January 12, 201411 yr Looks great! Although I wonder why there is only suspension on the rearmost axle, and why the shocks are only mounted with one degree of freedom. The barrel is great! TLH

January 12, 201411 yr all axles have suspension - you can see it here: and BTW: one of the best designed studdless trucks i have ever seen ... the barrel is simply awesome
January 12, 201411 yr Wow amazing! His other Mocs & Mods look cool to! His bus MOC (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535131) Happy building! NXT45 Edited January 12, 201411 yr by NXT45
January 12, 201411 yr Great appearance and good function. The Chinese MOCer should put this on Cuusoo and I think many people would support it.
January 12, 201411 yr All axles have suspension, as far as I can see. Are you sure? I can't be sure of my statement either, but see here: Both front and middle axles have fixed attachments to the frame via double bent liftarms. U-joints are only used to transfer power to the axle; the axle itself cannot move independently in relation to the frame. TLH

TLH If you look closely at the double bent liftarms you can see just above the bottom one a grey pin; suggesting it is frictionless, so could act as a pivot point. Also to the left of each wheel in that picture is a yellow shock, and on the previous picture you can see them just to the right of the wheels on the axles
