There's been a lot of chit chat on pricing and availability in the Rumor & Picture topic, so I decided to pin the other topic for them to rant in.

We like ranting Shadows, Kim knows that to well.:tongue:

Shortly we'll add a "Useful Reviews" somewhere.

It'll include reviews on for example useful stuff like the recent review of "Star Wars Complete Locations" by echobasehoth.

Keep'em coming.

Having a list of useful books and techniques for MOCing is a great source.

That would be Great!

Im really keen on the techniques for MOCing part. :cry_happy::thumbup:

I would really like to know how to MOC better, so then I can win contests!

 You'll have to do better on April 1st.

Agreed!

You can't fool us, MODs!

Oh I thought CloneCommanderCaptainRex was a new recruit for EB but then I saw he had KimT's profile picture and I thought CCCR copied KimT. Nope I was wrong, realising KimT has done this before.

It seems KimT took the CloneCommander from my name and took Captain Rex from CaptainRex110 or one of the many Captain Rex's. I searched for 'CloneCommander' and 'Delta' and apart from myself and KimT (for the first search)(or should I say CloneCommanderCaptainRex)there were only one other for both searches. And they were both new!!!

So I was completely original (apart from 7  ) fro a while before they joined!!! Yay. Now isn't that a little bit of trivia!

KimT and the other mods are just poking some fun at all the members with usernames such as clone/commander/captain something who flooded the forum around a year and a half ago. His title explains it.

Though this dosen't have to do with SW directly, how ddo you change the writing between the profile info and the Picture?

It in fact has nothing to do with Star War at all. That is called a title, and you cannot change it, only staff can. Threads in the Website & Forums section will explain in greater detail.

Exactly, there are so many member with unoriginal clone commander names or commander this or clone this, I've noticed this trend as well.

And I think he's right. In the past he has done it before, but adding Shadows did get me to!

Btw KimT, you should have added darth as well :wink:

EDIT: What?! Beaten to it by the Dark Lord KimT himself...

Seems the board has obtained a Lego 'insider'

the 'insider' can be found on any forum u go to - full of vague answers, contradictions and the obligatory abysmal grammar

seems to be a 'take it or leave it' approach at the moment - which seems to invite fantasists

a genuine insider will be reluctant to 'prove' their credentials to joe public - so to keep the board free of the riff raff perhaps they could be 'signed off' by admins? They could then back up the sources honesty?

That way people's time isn't wasted and the info we do get is so much more intresting

just an idea

...oh i work for Lego too, in their 'product buying' department :)

NOT THAT! On the profile!

Wether I believe or not, isn't the question here.

To my knowledge no false info or lies have been posted in the rumor topic.

What to do, would be to stop throwing stones at other members.

Control your own actions - don't try to control those of others.

Rockinkurt has been given a lot of heat in the rumor topic and that's totally unacceptable.

If he (or any other member) at any time gets out of line, then leave it to us - the moderators - to act.

Ignore is always a good solution.

KimT why is your star wars tag different to everyone elses?

Because I can.

And it's not different to everyone else

So since everything automatically opens in the same window as you're browsing ,we've decided to unpin a lot of topics.

Meaning that the topics previously pinned can now be found via the pinned "Star Wars Forum Index" and you wont have to bother with multiple browser windows.

Smart, eh?

Sorry but I really don't like what you have done here. I find it takes longer to get to the topic I want if it is not on that 1st page and if I am on my phone like others too use, I will find it harder to navigate to the topics when say I am at the shops and want to see what the number out of ten a set is.

Plus what happened to the banner, the new one only covers part of the banner section so the rest is now just blue, it needs to be much longer for it to reach the whole screen.

Mkay.

So what are you asking?

The repinning of the 2010 News And Rumor topic?

What banner? Where? On your phone?

I think that the Review Index should be pinned back up, then so should the 2010 News And Rumor topic. :classic:

The banner seems to be a problem on Firefox which I switched to, to make that 1 post to see if there is a difference. I just realised that it is the whole site so I will screenshot it and add it as a problem in the board upgrade thread. :classic:

Forgive me for my insolence, but what happened to the review index? I can't find it

Now now Sok, its only a few posts up,default_laugh2.gifdefault_blink.gif

What I've done is I've changed the forum settings in my profile so that I now have 40 topics per page.

That ensures that nothing important gets outpaged.

But if you guys think that having a bunch of pinned topics is the way, then that's what we do.

I agree with having at least the Review Index still pinned. While the new sets discussion thread is posted in every few minutes, the review topic is usually left alone. Yet, I do use it often. Never mind. default_classic.gif

It's great that you have that huge Forum Index, though. Really helps in finding important stuff.

Thanks.

When I made the Forum Index I decided to have the most important topics in the first post.

Perhaps people should have a look in the Forum Index before asking where did the news topic go for example.

We're all thrown off guard by the new forum look and changes.

But it had to happen - now let's make the most of it :classic:

Good solution to an unfortunate and unexpected problem.
