arc Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 ok, so I wanted to try my hand at brickfilms, so I grabbed my camera, and took a few pictures. and shots with the whole figure in the frame come out pretty good. but when I tried to take a close up, they became fuzzy. the camera I'm using is a fujifilm ax560. I have tinkered with the settings, (it's in "text" mode in these pictures.) but can't seem to get it focused. (it is kind of old now though.) are there any tips on how to fix this? if not, are there any recommended cameras for brickfilms? preferably something in the $100-200 price range? Quote
fred67 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I don't know that model, but I've had a couple of Fuji cameras, and they all had good macro modes. Quote
dr_spock Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Have you turned on macro mode on your camera? I have a Fujifilm F40fd and it is the icon with the flower on the 4 way controller. Read your manual? http://www.fujifilm.ca/shared/bin/FinePix%20AX500%20Owner%27s%20Manual.pdf If macro doesn't work, you could try filming further way and use the camera 5x zoom in. Quote
arc Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 thanks for your help! macro mode works great. (mods feel free to lock this) Quote
