Dirk1313 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 (edited) Hello folks, as mentioned in my previous introduction (the Monorail Station with "Little Pig Snout"), here is my interpretation of a VT11.5 Trans-Europ-Express (TEE) train as monorail. Due to the narrow gauge of the monorail the train is quite a bit smaller than minifig scale - still, I have put a driver into it Enjoy the photos and Youtube movies. If you have any questions, happy to answer In comparison to a "slightly" larger scale model: And in action: Edited January 15, 2014 by Dirk1313 Quote
eurotrash Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Lovely looking representation of the TEE. The nose is well done. Iggy Pop and David Bowie would be impressed. Quote
bartvdpoel Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I saw photo's of this train, and the gas turbine version for the first time a few weeks back. Was thinking, wow, I want this in Lego. Nice to know there are other people who have the same idea. The curved nose works out very well. Quote
Doom2099 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Thanks Dirk, I've been really excited waiting for this. I really like both of your trains, the 6 wide and the monorail version. Great job of packing so many details into the smaller scale. I also really like your solution for running 5 cars. That monorail motor does a good job, with just one running your other small train, and now this pushing and pulling two cars in front and behind. Thanks again! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Very nice work Dirk1313! Excellent detail on a monorail Quote
JopieK Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Very nice! Looks great! Nice colors too! Quote
Donno ed Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Wow I love the train and the background setting Quote
dr_spock Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Very nice. Did you green screen the backgrounds? Quote
Dirk1313 Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Very nice. Did you green screen the backgrounds? Yes, I used a greenscreen blanket plus software functions. Just my tools for proper light for filming are limited. Quote
