Farnheim Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Hello citizens, another 4wide MOC I've created a while back is this hydraulic platform. Many fire brigades here in Germany uses this kind of equipment instead of the regular turntable ladders and it is getting more and more common. Its flexibility especially in difficult terrain is a good reason to buy… So did the Farnheim Fire Department. This MOC features realistic arm movement, a bigger platform with a control panel, working lights and the possibility to mount a stretcher to the platform for the safe rescue of injured people from great heights. You can also expand a simple hydraulic stabilizer for a safe hold. A few details, like a small Generator, two compartments for equipment, a typical paint scheme with yellow markers and a lowered heavy-duty-cab. Enjoy! Hope you like it, even if you're more in 6w or/and 8w…. Regards, Farnheim Quote
gazumpty Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I love all your 4w...reminds me of a simpler, more classic time. Though your MOC's are so detailed and beautifully put together just seeing the red stud wheels makes me smile! Quote
monsinjor Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Beautiful 4 wide truck. Very detailed. And functional too. I also like front of the cabin with blue lights. Another great work! Quote
dr_spock Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Sweet 4 wide fire engine. It would be nice if you could get more of your build in focus for the some of the photos. Quote
eurotrash Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 That's a great design and you've managed to cram so many details into it. I probably disagree with Gazumpty's comments about it being reminiscent of a simpler time - what you've got here is a complex, accurate, beautiful and functional MOC. Quote
renedevereaux Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I like the mixture of detail combine with classic town. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I think this is your best one yet 'Farnheim', the cherry picker bucket is perfect.....especially in scale to a real one. Keep you fleet growing and Brick On 'Farnheim' ! Quote
scottwb2010 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I like how you've managed to create this type of telescopic platform "Farnheim". Always wondered how the second boom/tip boom could be created in lego, to fold under the main boom along with the cage. Good job. Well done. Quote
MetroiD Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Great functionality on the boom there. And the 4-wide design is definitely very aesthetically pleasing! Quote
Farnheim Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I really appreciate it! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Top notch build on this one! The boom is of an excellent design and function. Very well done Quote
