February 17, 201411 yr Author HI, new kid here. I have at least 76, maybe 77 questions 4 u, but will start with one. Please tell me what element/s you are using as the windscreen/canopy on most of these Tie craft, part #s would be VERY appreciated! I have been throwing lots of time, $ (bricklink holds the mortgage to my soul at this point) and effort at designing a quality tie cockpit module for a few diff Tie models. Thanks in advance! I use the windscreen from the UCS TIE Advanced - 10175 in all of the models (or it's older cousin, the windscreen from the UCS TIE Interceptor). They are going for a small fortune right now on BL. Fortunately I bought one years ago when the price was much more reasonable (plus I can borrow one off of my 10175 ).
February 17, 201411 yr They're just remarkable! that TIE Droid has me in a state of nostalgia of the Rogue Squadron game Edited February 17, 201411 yr by TomatoSoup
September 18, 201410 yr Little help please. I.am trying to.find threads where actual built versions of these incredible ties are pictured. Apparently I cannot search for "ucs" or "tie" and no luck elsewhere. I am doing my first embryotic moc ties and i would love to see a pros work. Thank you!
September 21, 201410 yr Can't wait to see these built! Do you plan on ordering pieces for all of them? I hope those windshield pieces don't burn a hole in your pocket!
October 24, 201410 yr Amazing! My favourite is the regular TIE fighter but they are all great. Good job Rorscarch-I mean Walter
November 3, 201410 yr Author Little help please. I.am trying to.find threads where actual built versions of these incredible ties are pictured. Apparently I cannot search for "ucs" or "tie" and no luck elsewhere. I am doing my first embryotic moc ties and i would love to see a pros work. Thank you! I've only built one of them so far, the TIE Defender, but I haven't taken photos of it yet. I have the pieces for the standard TIE, but haven't starting building it yet. Far too much going on at home to devote time to it. Can't wait to see these built! Do you plan on ordering pieces for all of them? I hope those windshield pieces don't burn a hole in your pocket! My plans were to order parts for the ones I thought turned out best. The Defender, standard TIE, Lander and Lancet, maybe a few more. Then I will order enough pieces to modify those models to create the others. The standard TIE is the basis for a lot of the variants, so quite a few should be easy once the TIE Fighter is built. As for the windscreen piece, I own the TIE Advanced, and I bought a second windscreen several years ago (before the price became outrageous). My plan is to move those windscreens around for photography, and leave the windscreens off for display. Not ideal, but far, far cheaper, and I also get a chance to admire the cockpit and interior details.
