Deep in Nocturnus, the black river runs and from its waters several swamps formed.

The dark port at Umarth Umbar has sinister aspect and is an unwelcome sight for enemies, protects the west side of the lands, can only be accesed by small ships.

A malefice stands on it, the waters turn the living into madness, and only the desperate or fools would dare to attempt to cross it unprepared.

The Avalonian exiles stablished a small base on it, and fortified it.

I could not post it on time, before the 16th had some issues with my camera, but here it is as a freebuild. =)

C&C for improving are appreciated.

Cheers!

Nice build, I like the patterns in the walls!

Thanks Lord Vladivus. =)

I like the black water and the exposed hollow studs from the inverted slopes. Too bad you couldn't get it in in time for the contest!

Well black water is new to me, I was trying to make a few more sense of motion on the boat but it was hard and did not have that much pieces.

At least it will count as a freebuild. =) Thanks MkJoshA

I really like the black water too, nice job!

Thanks Torgar! :classic:

I'm a fan of the black water as well - I don't think that's something I've seen before. The photo's aren't the greatest in the traditionally-liked sort of way (crisp, clear, and evenly lit etc.), however the way that they turned out really adds to an overall feel of dark and quiet. The strong light coming from one side (and the resulting shadows) make the scene look like it's being lit by the moon.

Thanks mpoh98!

I like the dock layout and the two towers hooked by a bridge are neat

Glad you liked it SK =)

Some cool looking decorations on the towers mate.. Very beautiful!

Thanks a lot Gunman, in my still not as big as everyone here collection xD the slope is a piece I have a quantity that allows me to use more.

As said multiple times, I like the black water as well! And the few flowers you added makes it even better!

Thanks Ecc I would have liked to give more detail to the water in addition to flowers and vegetation and some mutant mushrooms that are not visible on the pic.

But had no clue how to do make more impact effect on water, I will better search for it on the pirates threads. :classic:

Great idea with black water! The moc looks very good but I agree with Emma. The photos are not the best but it gives you a certain dark and gloomy feel...

Yay! Definetely black water is popular xD, Thanks for the advice DG I will try to make more effort on my pics for the next ones.

Cheers! :sweet:
