kabel Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I wouln't stick it itself but add the link to this thread if Z or Eccs allow. Quote
ZCerberus Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Well if we build the index, I can merge the index portion into one of the stickied threads. I also agree the stickies are out of hand, and I need to "free" a few of them soon. I would sort the index by guild first. kabel, you can make the index in this thread or in a new thread and I can merge it into one index when it is ready. I would suggest anyone who knows of a race that needs to be included in the index, include a link to a MOC that includes that race so it can be indexed. The Nocturnus Tribes challenge entries do NOT need links in this thread as we can pull them quite easily from the Nocturnus Guild thread. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Some of us have used the crocs and wolves, plus there's a whole raven tribe. I do want to see the spider people included! I didn't see the Chima spiders on Lego.com. Where did you see them? Quote
gedren_y Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Here are the original posts about the Beasts and Intelligent Species of Kaliphlin, by Mike S (aka Mikel Kalores, Masa of Kaliphlin). Quote

gedren_y Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The 2014 Chima sets (including Spider and Scorpion tribes), I am given to understand, are slated for a March release in the US. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 They're around in the UK. But yeah, hopefully we'll see them in MOCs soon! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Hope they get to the US soon, but would you mind posting a pic or two for us in the US? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I don't have them yet unfortunately. If you're after pics, head to the Action themes sub-forum, they've photos of the sets. Quote
kabel Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Okay, I'll start a new thread then to seperate the index from discussing new ideas. Oh boy, I'm so glad I found something else to continue procrastinating ... Quote

The Architect Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Hey just saying if you go to Brickset you can see nearly every Lego set ever made. I you havent been their before I'd recommend checking it out. Hope they get to the US soon, but would you mind posting a pic or two for us in the US? There you are. Quote
The Architect Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Agreed waiting for them to arrive in shops is killing me . Quote
SkaForHire Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Or we could just use the Wiki, where a lot of this information is already. for example in Kaliphlin: http://guildsofhistorica.wikia.com/wiki/Kaliphlin I think I just channeled my inner DaMaximus. Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Those spider dudes are quite intriguing... ...I think I just channeled my inner DaMaximus. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The reason I like Chima so much is that it has been giving us so many new races for Historica/Fantasy. I just wish they would have incorporated some shields into it, but I can't have everything. I have been using the following races so far: Avalonia Humans Elves Druids Dwarves Eagles (Chima) Foxfolk (Chima) Centaurs (proposed) Kaliphlin Humans Elves Mummies Snake-Peoples (Ninjago) Crocodiles (Chima) Apemen Scorpions (Chima) Mitgardia Humans Dwarves Gnomes Elves Yeti Cyclops Worgen (Chima Wolves) Nocturnus Humans Elves Dwarves Minotaurs Lizardmen (Trandoshan) Werewolves (Monster Fighters) Drow Trolls (Fantasy Era) Batlords (Batlords and Monster Fighters) Swampmen (Monster Fighters) Ravens Medusa Spiders (future) Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted January 25, 2014 Author Posted January 25, 2014 My sig-fig was the offspring of a Worgen from Avalonia and Werewolf from Nocturnus. So he's a Wereworgen. Quote
Alfadas Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I made two new races, at least I think so. I just can not think of a name. Hope you guys can find names. Here are some good guys. They will not hesitate to charge at any enemy, even the most dangerous ones. Unfortunately they are not really good fighters, so when their village was attacked by orcs and the race that comes next, they were all killed, except for these two lucky hunters. Now they are the last of their race, as far as we know. These creatures are close relatives of the orcs and giant spiders. At some point the races mixed somehow. They are really violent and are skilled fighters. I am thinking of giving them the name Spi Norks, a combo of the Dutch names of spiders and orcs. But let me know what you guys can think of. Quote
gedren_y Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 jeroenaa, your first race already exist in the Kaliphlin. They are the same race as the Mad Monks. Quote
Infernum Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I really wish I could afford to get some of those new Chima figs. I'll see if I can get ahold of some. Quote

I just wish they would have incorporated some shields into it, but I can't have everything. I have been using the following races so far: Same here. Most of your list seems the same as mine as well. A couple of differences would be that I have been using the Chima Lions (which you didn't list) as a Varlyrian race called the Leander and I always thought of the Chima eagles as a Kaliphlin tribe from the Nestlands. Alfadas Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 jeroenaa, your first race already exist in the Kaliphlin. They are the same race as the Mad Monks. O, I didn't know that. Is it ok that I use them and just change their story? Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I reckon it would be worth approaching this so that we didn't pigeonhole certain races in certain guilds. Some might be more likely to turn up in some guilds, but it shouldn't preclude them from others. The Chima Eagles in Avalonia could quite easily be descendants of the ones in the Nestlands clans. Perhaps a listing of rarity within each guild- for example, orcs are common in Nocty, but less common in the other guilds? Or Forest elves are common in Avalonia, but rare in Nocturnus? Quote
