We need people to start editing their previous posts instead of double posting so much.

I dont think we need or should expect news fr a while. So we should stop caring for a while! :classic:

We need some news asap.

Wish it were so but unfortunately July is the earliest we'll get news.

Unrelated note, i'm close to 100% completion on the game and I'm wishing we got PJ as the pre-order fig. I like Bilbo but it really was a very strange choice. I could make up a long list of better candidates.. even a new version of Thorin would have been cooler.

300th post!

Theres alot of figs they could have amde that would have been tonnes better.

But there certianly is soemthing to the fact that we'll end up with just about every major variation of bilbo seen in the movies. complete coverage.

I just LOVE blue coat Bard :D

Do you mean blue coat Bilbo? Because his costume is awesome, but I have never heard of Bard having a blue coat.

In the video game Bard has a blue coat:

He will wear this in TABA.

Oh, my bad. I guess I haven't been following TABA news closely enough!

I've been lurking here for a long time but nobody has mentioned the 3ds video game giving us a glimpse of a possible armored Thorin, as well as armored Fili and Kili.

Links to some pics I snapped of my own 3ds since I couldn't find a single image of this anywhere on Google...

I apologize for the low quality images but the screen is tiny and the minifigs on screen are even smaller. And there isn't really a good way to get a full body shot. However the little headshot logos give a better idea on the torso printing. Thorin has the same crown that the Thror minifig has in-game.

Also note the Bilbo on the top left of the first link. He is in a gold outfit that I haven't seen anywhere. I'm not sure what it's from.

I, for one, hope these turn out to be some of the real figs we'll see this fall but who knows?

Very interesting, from what I can tell they're not very accurate to there armor in the movie.

Um, those armors seems like amde up dwarf armor, Don't think we'll see those in the movie or in sets.

I think that Thorin torso is the same "armored Thror" uses in the game.

That Bilbo looks a bit like the one at the beginning of An Unexpected Jouney, with the yellow Waistcoat

When i say Bard i mean Bard. :hmpf_bad:

These are not BO5A at all, just made up armour like Deskp said.

Oh and btw, Bard with sword FTW

So would that mean that we don't expect to get armored up Thorin or other dwarves in the 2014 sets, right? Just wondering, because if they were going to be produced then Lego would give the real designs to the video game people.

In which case, I am saddened. And my secret dream of getting Thror and Thrain minifigs is even more far-fetched than that!

:cry_sad:

Don't be sad, the story goes like this:

Most sets are produced before movies come out, No costume design, No scene, Just rough sketches and name's flying around. and from that Lego has to make a set or 4, the more we come closer to the launch date of the movie the more details Lego gets to change the sets a little bit. Lego is working hard on producing The Hobbit sets right now and not all designs are finished, so they can't send all minifigure designs just in time for the game, thats why we have some designs in game that look nothing like minifigures that could be in a set, they had not gotten designs for those characters. we've also got some glimpses of what Lego already finished and what we MAYBE can expect in a set, for example:

- Blue Coat Bard

- Smaug

- Bear Beorn

Now here's the deal, we have not seen a lot of the armored dwarves that are going to fight in The Battle of the Five Armie's, and so hasn't Lego.

We can expect 2 different clothing groups in the biggest set of the 3th wave, either:

- Lake Town clothes

or

- BO5A Armour

Now some people think Lake-Town, while others think BO5A. I myself find both good  both clothing groups are great designs

my toughts say that it will be BO5A armour, as that is kind of the main event in There and Back again. it will be (for most) the most iconic scene from the movie/trilogy (??)

I hope your questions are answered in this post, and you can expect armoured dwarves. but, we don't know wich clothing group (yet)

As for the Thrain and Thror figs, as sad as it is. that will never happen

Didn't realise Bard was holding a sword in that poster. Well he's gonna need it for sure.

I am really hoping for armored variations of the dwarves in the Erebor set. The ragged clothes they wear in DOS are kind of boring, minus maybe Thorin and Bilbo.

Bonus: It is in fact Girion's sword!

There's the Elf Sentry in the Lego:Hobbit game, I like it, hopefully it'll be in a set.

Wow looking at that vid, the Elven sentry looks very complete and detailed. His torso printing even has back printing. Now it makes me wonder if Lego will use these guys in place of the Mirkwood Soldier in wave 3.

I pretty much doubt it, if they would, they would have also been in Mirkwood elf army

Really? oh that's nice :D how do you know?

Whatever sword he's holding, its unique and one we haven't seen before. It looks very cool.

Unfortunately, I don't have a new enough game system to play the Hobbit game on, but I've watched the whole game through on YouTube. It seems like LEGO kinda got the idea of a LEGO-style open world fantasy game with LEGO LOTR, and nailed it with The Hobbit. I'm really hoping they do a one big game that combines both trilogies together. Having a open world for all of Middle-Earth with as much detail as there is in The Hobbit game would be amazing and beautiful.

One thing that always bothers me about the LEGO games is the designers can go and make really awesome LEGO style parts thats we have no chance of seeing in sets (all the dwarves weapons, and Thorin's shield). Its a fierce shame that the license agreement works against individual figs being sold outside of sets. A Middle-Earth CMF series would solve so many issues we've been having with the theme.

Its also too bad that we have to wait till July till we may or may not be seeing one of the sets, and then another few months till their in stores.

It is Girions sword and we have seen it before. In auj EE and DOS

You can always use this figure for a blue coated Bard if they do not make one...

Meh, I disagree, one blue coat does not equal another completely different blue coat. Besieds you'd be more ccorrect with the possible blue coated Bilbo.
