The Witch King looks fantastic. The cape(s) look really cool.

Galadriel is even better than I expected. The face, the golden hairpiece and glittery silver cape all look stunning! The Witch-King looks just as amazing too. They're both certainly worth the wait!

The BOFA set looks much better now that I've seen the tower. I might buy a few extras without the minifigures and ballista to expand Dale.

Wow thanks very much Carlos!

So no polybags this wave. That really sucks..

Can't say I was expecting those arches to ever turn up in a set again, but there they are! The whole building actually looks good. Azog has a new print. Dain looks great! Reddish brown beard!! Galadriel has the same face as Arwen on one side for some reason. Thanks again!

Argh, haven't thought about that, but you're right. This is really a shame :cry_sad:

Does the Witch King Battle connect to Dol Guldur Battle?

Does the Witch King Battle connect to Dol Guldur Battle?

It connects between the two other Dol Guldor sets. :classic:

Thanks for pics Carlos! I'm changing my mind about these sets, Dain, Thorin and Galadriel look amazing.

Any chance you could take a pic of Elrond please?

Amazing sets, thanks Carlos!

Please zoom in on Thorin and Dain for me, i will love you forever :3

Galadriel has the same face as Arwen on one side for some reason.

Lazy, but the cheekbones are diferent.

Based Carlos strikes again.

The tower in the BOTFA set looks alright, actually. And, now that I've seen the closeup from you, I'm loving Galadriel and the Witch King.

The Dale building is nice, but I wish there was more...

Gwaihir is the eagle but is there anything new about it?

Is bard 100% same as sdcc one?

set looks a bit better now

I was comparing the pics that we got of Gwaihir to one of my eagles and they look exactly the same. I did the same thing with Bard, and everything looks the same there too.., I was hoping for a battle damaged face on Bard in BoFA, but oh well

LOTR ad in instructions???

Where can i see those pics?

He has a link in his signature. Back a page I think.

Looks like it will be pretty hard to army build off of Dain. He has a red torso and his helmet and mohawk look like all one piece. :look:

The BOT5A set is growing on me thanks to those pictures, thanks Carlos

I sugest you to check his whole gallery, not just BOFA folder...

Why did you spot a LOTR page?

Thanks a lot for the pictures!

Would be great if you could tell us if there is a LotR advertisement or not! I think a lot of people would like to know! ;)

Why did you spot a LOTR page?

There's nice clear pictures of Galadriel and the Witch-King.

Thanx...

So after all its ... I am confused with my feelings to be honor. Overal, its a good design (or at least there is potencial to mod it) but its little bit cheassy, and the sets itself says, that TLG group - designers dont want to bother with some hard detailed work on the sets anymore.

Ruins are quote good, bridge can be extended and there is good parts for building, but, BUT...LOTR and Hobbit was unique kinda, because those structures was really nicely designed and didnt include too much big prefab plates or arches or whatewer...It was a nice work with big amount of small pieces, like Wals and Gate of Helms Deep, Tower of orthanc which is best set ever, Bag end, even wheatertop or Lake town prison... but this is kinda weird.

Figs are superb, really I mean it. I already have 6 lake town soldiers and mayn villagers form Fantasy Era, so I can easily create Lake Town army. Also I have around 6-7 regular scouts + many more elves, to create small regiment of Wood elves. With this set I will have 4 eagles, which is also good, and Dwarfs...13 dwarfs+ Dain + 2-3 more dains to create regular guard will be anough to represent Dwarfs. so after all it is covered. And Even though that its shame that we miss those helmets for elves and cheap tools for regular armored grunts, I dont mind it so much. I am not big armybuilder (My rohan army for example contains of 2 Royal guard, 3 Archers, Eomer, Theoden, Moded Eowyn with hair, and some villagers to create militia... And for me its enough against army of 30 uruks and 4 berserkers...

so what I mean with all of this.. My BOFA After I put all my sets and those 4 las Hobbit sets will be at least complete, with small armies to depict this battle and create some nice layout. The set itself is lackluster, and only hit in the black are these pieces and minifigs. Desih´gn is more than less ugly but I can fixed it and hold the main features and overall look.

So thats pretty much it...

P.S. after all the best set is Lonely Mountain (excluding price) and second one is Lake Town add on, which I want most, and buy severa times for the elven torso and hairpieces of orcs.

There's nice clear pictures of Galadriel and the Witch-King.

Yes but this is not the LotR version. :(

For those asking, no, there is not any add for LOTR in the manuals only the minifigures list and a picture with the Lonely Mountain and the Lake Town sets, wich it's weird since it's missing the Witck King set

Gotta leave the house for a while, I'll upload more pictures in a while I just finished building the set and....it's kinda small for something called "Battle of the five armies"

BTW Carlos, how did u managed to gt those sets so eary?

I gotta say I am a little disappointed (for the second time with this wave!). No LotR advertisement is a big bummer, though not unexpected at all considering everything pretty much pointed to it. I guess this will be our last Middle-Earth themed Lego set. The other big disappointment is no polybag. I was pretty sure we weren't going to be lucky enough to get an Iron Hill Soldier or Bolg, but Lego could of at least thrown us a bone and put a Gunadabad Orc with hair in a polybag. That would of helped ease the blow.

After seeing better pics of the set I am still not crazy about it. The tower is pretty much exactly what I expected and underwhelming. I will say Thorin and especially Dain look good in the set, as do Galadrial and the Witch King. This is really no surprise though, the minifigures always have looked excellent.
