I went to my local Target showed them the Upc code and they tell me I need the DPCI code for it, do any of you have the DPCI code ?

No, the guy I spoke with at Target wouldn't give me the DPCI. He did go look in the back and found all 3 sets, but told me the boxes said do not sell until Oct. 15, so he refused to bring them and let me get any. So, I think I need to try another Target! The TRU by me has nothing and couldn't find anything either(so they said)

Calling all Lego LOTR and Hobbit fans that live in the NYC area and are looking for the BOTFA sets. The lego store on 23rd street and 5th Av by the flatiron building got the new sets today. They haven't put the sets on the shelves yet but if you ask an employee they will bring it out for you. I myself picked up the Lonely mountain and the Witch King battle set. Hope this helps all of you.

wow. that's a nice long wait. wouldn't it be more advantageous for them to release it concurrently with the film?

I think I'm screwed as a Nintendo owner of the game because they didn't offer the previous DLC content. Also, this reminds me of a little more "on-topic" question... what are the odds on getting any more video game promo minifigs this time? Slim to none?

Well it kinda is with the movie release for some country's!

I am surprised the official Lego store actually let them go early, even though Toys R US and some other places offer them. Did you pay regular retail price, or did the 5th avenue store charge more like Rockefeller Center does?

And thats for Europe btw

I payed retail price, and I got the little promotional christmas elve set. The 5th avenue store seems to be the only place in Manhattan that carries them and is even selling them.

I hope this too that we will get the sets earlier in our local toy stores in Austria. This week I was looking in the area of Graz if I could find any signs of them, but I had no luck. For sure the lego Store in Vienna will possible have them at the 15th October, but this means to spend some extra time and fuel :(

I think i can cheer you guys up, My Local TOY store said this too, around 1 December (they are always so freaking late :hmpf_bad: and most of the time dont even have all the Hobbit sets) so i called my local LEGO store (it's a 20 min drive from here) and they said they have it on October 15th

And it was in Europe, just like you Austria guys

So please go to your closest Lego store, the Drive is worth it. i'm almost sure they will have it on October 15th!

this is what I would expect to happen if I asked my Target, so I've not done it. Just going to wait until the release date and pick up witch king, probably wait on getting the others until I can find a sale or just bricklink the figs individually.

Brotherhood Workshop recently posted on their Facebook about the end of the LOTR line, so I guess that concludes any hopes of future sets. I trust that they know that the Middle Earth lines are done; they have TLG insight.

Just saw it too, i have to agree with you there :cry_sad:

That is truly sad indeed, however I'm pleased we got MIddle Earth sets at all.

Thats a very positive tought, and indeed we should enjoy all we have gotten

That is very true. I am glad with the sets we got, not upset with the ones we didn't.

Yeah I am glad we got sets but I have to agree with some others that if we got just one more wave I think it would be less hard to let go of the line because it really is not complete.

I agree that one more wave would finish it off nicely, but there is not point complaining now, as the LOTR line is truly finished...

My heart weeps, but my wallet is rejoicing. This might mark the end of my short return to LEGO as the Tolkien sets were the main/only reason I'm here. Like others, I never expected to get them in the first place so I'm thrilled with what we got. I'm sure eventually someone will make all the accessories needed to make customs of the figs that we didn't get.

Well i guess we still can be open for a while, for the final version of the Game.

We'll see what the Ram's look like, War Thranduil etc and the Iron Hillers :sweet:

Me too. My main focus of collecting Lego are the Middle Earth themes. I have a few Star Wars sets, Nick TMNT sets, and a few Marvel sets. But I cherry pick those. LotR and Hobbit I must have all the sets. Looks like between now and Christmas I will complete what I don't have. I'm not gonna chance waiting until after then and missing out on what I don't have.

If we had only had only gotten the Balrog, a decent Gondor set, Treebeard in Orthanc and a better BoFA set ... the line would have been complete and as perfect as could be.

That'll be fun.

Honestly, even though I love LEGO, The Tolkien sets were the ones I've been focusing on in my purchases, so after this at least it'll open my wallet up to other themes. It's still an immense shame that in all likelyhood this'll be the end, especially because all I think The Lord of the Rings needed was a single set more to be perfect: A UCS Minas Tirith.
