Darth Malgus Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 If they did a Minas Tirith would be the perfect way to end the series as long as we could get a Sauron in somewhere. Quote
cullmancreations Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Which Hobbit sets do you guys think are worth buying a second of out of the entire line. I am considering getting the unexpected gathering again and the Barrel escape. what do you guys think. not worth it. Quote
Cammo Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) ^ The most essential sets (for me) are Bag-End, Riddles in the dark, the 1st Lake town and the Lonely Mountain. Edited October 7, 2014 by Cammo Quote
cullmancreations Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) Yeah I already have the lonely mountain but I'm not sure if I want to get another of it though. The Bag end set is fantastic. but im on the fence with the barrel escape and my TRU still has it but im not sure if I want to pick it up. I'm actually getting the goblin king battle in the mail later this week so Im excited Edited October 7, 2014 by cullmancreations Quote
Godless-Mimicry Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 MEA is probably the most stand-out set of the bunch to get multiples of as it is an army builder after all, but myself, I got a second Dol Guldur Battle (I use a lot of grey pieces and the extra Orcs were helpful) and second Warg Attack (for parts to build my party tree MOC). Was going to get a second Bag End due to one going for €30 on a sale site recently, but somebody got to it before me. Quote
cullmancreations Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 $30 for Bag-end thats cool. I have the Mirkwood elf army set but im not that interested in getting another. I wasnt that big of a fan of the second wave of the hobbit Quote
Hypernova888 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I'm not really one for buying multiples, but I would suggest either MEA or DGB. Quote
Shroffy123 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Are the new sets starting to appear more frequent for others ? I still can't believe they aren't showing up in the Pacific nw Quote
Hammerhand Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I know, same here. I haven't seen them anywhere. I'm up in Washington btw. Quote
Alfadas Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I'd say get multiple of Dol Guldur sets, maybe the 2nd laketown set to make the tower look more towery. Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I already moded the bell Tower so now it looks more "Towery" :) Quote
kevkipo Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I already moded the bell Tower so now it looks more "Towery" :) https://www.flickr.c...07/15462930975/ Lookin good , but could be a little bit higher Quote
Mencot Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I already moded the bell Tower so now it looks more "Towery" :) https://www.flickr.c...07/15462930975/ Looks great and I agree with Kevkipo it should be a bit taller. This laketown sets are great and I think I will be getting multiple of them, just for the architecture and figs. Hmm hopefuly I could still find Laketown chase somewhere and especially for a cheaper price Quote

Blazej_Holen Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Is it? :) It took me a while to design them, and still I have lot of Ideas how to make them better.. Also I need to reduce brick count... Quote
coolguy2323 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Blazej that modded Lake-Town is amazing! I want one lol Edited October 9, 2014 by coolguy2323 Quote
Steph 104th Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Does anyone else think that the Lake Town Attack set is more suituble as the gate to Lake Town when Bard Entered Lake Town in DoS. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Does anyone else think that the Lake Town Attack set is more suituble as the gate to Lake Town when Bard Entered Lake Town in DoS. Yes. you could modify it so it opens up Quote
Smeagol314 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I know, same here. I haven't seen them anywhere. I'm up in Washington btw. I'm in Washington as well, and my local Target has all the sets but the lonely mountain. Quote
Shroffy123 Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I am in oregon - went to nearest TRUs (yes that's plural) Fred Meyers and target and didn't find the sets. So weird because the nw typically gets new waves weeks before official release dates. Quote
namioik Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I'm in no rush to get these sets because they will fortunately/unfortunately be on sale in January Quote
Darth Punk Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 My local target which almost never puts out sets early has all the sets except the Lonely mountain. I'm in the Chicago burbs. Quote
SMC Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) No sign in uk yet, anyone found any in europe yet? Edited October 10, 2014 by SMC Quote
LegoThomas Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Nothing in germany yet. You guys think german legos stores will have it on the 15th?? Quote
cullmancreations Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Im not sure. if you have the number to your local Lego store just call them or call Lego customer service in your country, they should be able to give you a date. Edited October 10, 2014 by cullmancreations Quote
