Amazing Bricks Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Surprisingly found witch king battle and the battle of five armies sets today at target, my target takes forever to get new sets but they got the new Hobbit sets a week early. That's surprising for my target. I really wanted to get them but ended up not getting any sadly. Quote

cullmancreations Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Just2Good. My Lego store has had all of the sets for over a week now in NYC Edited October 11, 2014 by cullmancreations Quote
TheWorldAhead Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Also from the Chicago suburbs; my local Target has Witch-king Battle and Battle of Five Armies (I got both!) and I found Attack on Lake-town at a nearby store. Didn't see the Lonely Mountain, but I still have to save up for that one anyway. Winter is coming, and so are the sets! Quote
Herky Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Target here in St Louis has every set but the Smaug set...really liked them all. Quote
TheWorldAhead Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Target here in St Louis has every set but the Smaug set...really liked them all. The Lonely Mountain seems harder to find...I wonder if that's because it has a stricter embargo date (October 15)? Ironically, it is the only set TLG has acknowledged the existence of. But if it's not available yet, that's fine with me; I'm lucky enough to enjoy the three other ones, and it's not as though I can summon $130 out of nowhere, anyway. Quote
LegoLOTR Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Uhh, I bet sets wont come here until December...Who will wait that much?! I hope they will release some polybag...It would be wonderful, but its not very likeable... Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 On a weekend trip in Barcelona, Espana and spotted The Lonely Mountain at a hobby shop down the street from where I'm staying. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Apparently, the German release date has been pushed back to December merely four days before the initially reported release date: http://thehobbit.leg.../products/79018 Come on TLG, that's seriously messed up Edited October 11, 2014 by Lego-Freak Quote
SMC Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Last year the UK got them very late, same again? Quote

EDIT: Just checked, luckily it's not the case. Im sorry for you LF that is indeed messed up Edited October 12, 2014 by kevkipo Quote
Sir Gareth Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Found Witch-King Battle and Battle of the Five Armies at Target. BotFA was already on shelves. WKB was still in the back, but all I had to do was ask and a worker grabbed one for me. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 calling my Lego Store again tommorow , i just want to make sure that im not driving for nothing this wednesday! Quote
mttbsstt Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Spoke to the manager in my local TRU yesterday (Coventry UK), he confirmed they had Hobbit sets in stock but were not able to sell them yet, but will be for sale on Friday! He wasn't able to confirm which sets they were but if they were old ones they'd have been able to sell them so they must be some of the new ones. Quote
bachamn Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Target here in St Louis has every set but the Smaug set...really liked them all. Until this post I was sure it was just a regional thing, but I'm just some south of STL and there's nothing around here. Convinced now that my local Target just sucks. :p Quote
kevkipo Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 and just called them, yep Wednesday they are in! Quote
LegoLOTR Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 While we wait for sets to come in our stores, lets discuss about what polybag do we expect and wish to come with DVD or promotional offer...I hope we get old Bilbo, and/or Bolg! Quote
Blakstone Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 The minifigure checklists generally tell us who is in the polybags. But this years check list does not show any polybags. Unfortunately it appears we won't have any this time. I hope there is an exclusive minifigure for the Battle of the Five Armies Bluray. Old Bilbo is a possibility. Unless they can make Bolg without any new molds, they could not give us that. Quote
Smeagol314 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Have there been enough sets to make a 'LEGO middle earth visual dictionary'? So far just star wars, hp, batman, and ninjago have gotten them, but they were all out for at least 8+ years (except ninjago). But usually they just redress the main character of the theme, so we could get an old Bilbo... Edited October 13, 2014 by Smeagol314 Quote

Bolg is probably really unlikely because he's not that central in the films and isn't on the good side. But I think it'd make a lot of sense to make a visual dictionary with old Bilbo inside. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 or sauron No. they are not going to do a few new molds for a book fig I think that old Bilbo is the most likely. I still think Bolg is going to be a Shop exclusive, he is kinda the main villain in The Book Quote
SMC Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I would love a visual dictionary but you we have not seen many recently, Batman got one but Spiderman has not although it had older sets like batman. Old Bilbo is needed and would be a good exclusive. Quote
cullmancreations Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Hold on didn't one of the star wars books have an exclusive clone trooper whose helmet was an exclusive mold. I would much rather see an old Bilbo though than Sauron Edited October 14, 2014 by cullmancreations Quote
