Hypernova888 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Unfortunalely i dont agree. For example looking at this photo it just doesnt look good together to me. Grey wall, and? personally even the WKB doesnt look like is from the same series.... Honestly, I feel like that's because you haven't displayed those sets very well. I really hope the DLC is as epic as the actual Hobbit and LOTR games, with decent levels and interesting characters. With the rams, I hope they get added to the creatures you can ride through the hub, as well as Thranduil's stag. Thrandy's stag was actually available through (Was it the big/little) a character DLC, (Which I ended up getting) so it's unlikely that it'll show up in the BotFA expansion. Blazej_Holen Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Yep grey Wall, but depict the scene properly. Maybe after you see EE of Dos you will change your mind. Its hard to create DG with 800pcs you know... That sets have tge DG feeling they qre creepy and evil looking. If you dont like them how they look you can always moc them ot extrnd them in your way ;) Quote
sahidko Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Honestly, I feel like that's because you haven't displayed those sets very well. That is not mine picture. As i said i dont own the big set. I have always been bigger LOTR than Hobbit fan so i am fine with just minifigs from these sets so my dwarf company is complete. :) Quote
kevkipo Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 If it's not cancelled, when the last time they mentioned it? Cancelled? i don't hope so! i believe it was in August? Quote
Godless-Mimicry Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Why would they cancel something that has already completed production, and is almost guaranteed to make money (from everyone who bought the main game)? Quote
Cammo Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) Honestly, I feel like that's because you haven't displayed those sets very well. Mind the space limitations. I really couldn't connect everything. The cabinet isn't wide enough. I still think it doesn't look too messy actually... I even added some Orcs and Saruman :P This is how it was displayed a year ago: Edited November 5, 2014 by Cammo Quote

Didnt know it was completed. when did they say that? due to the movie nt being done I'd imagien they would work on it for a while. Quote

Blazej_Holen Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) That looks very good, Very inspirational Exactly.. Holly Molly this is really good Idea, now I am conviced to buy one BOFA set and then buy some light and dark tan bricks to recreate something like this.. F´Damn it will take a lot of money from my wallet :) Pity that the design of the main gate isnt inovative - its a copy of the design form Helms Deep but still, nice work and colour scheme Edited November 5, 2014 by Blazej_Holen Quote
K-Nut Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 That is an excellent interpretation of Dale. I'd definitely like to try my hand at something like that. Quote

XP Based on the pictures, I don't think they're actually supposed to be Dark Red. That being said, I wish they were Dark Red. Really makes it seem crisper, IMO. Quote

Blazej_Holen Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 So the circle is closed. Now I fully undesrtand why TLG pick up to design DG courtyard rather than something else from DG..if you saw the trailer there was Gandalf on the ground, wounded and he lies almost in the middle of something similar to courtyard. We have now Elrond and Galadriel to rescue him so then we can add some hooded elfes (even thought those elves in trailer looks they wearing armour and some unique helmets) and scene is done. 1. Radagast can explore ruins and fight twilight Witch King 2. Gandalf can search in ruins for Sauron (we have only his shade but with some creativity that scene could be quite easily depict) 3 White council incuding available Saruman can go rescue Gandalf... Only thing we miss is Thrain (maybe when proper grey colored had piece will be added then everyone can moc him, and also we miss Sauron in armour, but not a big tragedy I think. Its a shame that we didnt get any of those armored elves, in the trailer there is a huge army of them..I thought at first that there will be only small regiment of archers and spearmen like in the book. But this is trully nice army.. Lets say few thousands of them? Also now the great ballista from BOFA set makes sense, and as well its a pity that we didnt get one of those trolls... dont mentioning Dwarven army and Thranduil´s steed...Las wave shoudl have 8 sets not only 4. Proper Dale ruins, proper Lake town and at least two sets form Erebor..Main gate which will be main structure in the movie I guess, and Inside Throne and mines like the set that we got. And mabye that tower from banners and posters.. Raven Hill I think....and BOLG..God, so man things is missing. So much potential. If at least hobbit theme was completed porperly it will take out at least part of my pain from current LOTR situation... Quote
Steph 104th Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 For those who missed the amazing trailer, WB just released it officialy: Quote
legofreak86 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Ok from the trailer I can garner that the entire Dol Guldur line of sets were based on this scene when it was 2 movies as the look of that room and the statue in the middle is identical to the Lego set. The doorway that Elrond walks through looks remarkably similar to the one in DGA. I reckon Lego intended for us to build this entire scene but had to change the design of Sauron due to it having to be released nearer to DOS/AUJ. Maybe beorn will be involved in the rescue too as will radagast. I did notice in some BTS footage in dol guldur for this movie you can see rad's sled near Gandalf and galdriel so maybe he is involved too. Sad to see that lego got really unfinished looks for everything else. Especially BO5A as it appears Thorin vs Azog goes on in the snow above dale in that outpost plus its sad to see Azog not having his BO5A design in the set nor Thorin having his final battle garb and the obvious omission of Bolg overall. Plus Azog's armour looks awesome shame we will never see it. Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Did anyone noticed those unique elven armours which elves from "Resque squad" in DG wears? There is one helmet similar to jester crest...and much more...who are they? Quote
legofreak86 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) If you are referring to Dol Guldur those aren't elves. Those are the nine nazgul including the witch king of angmar and that's why they are surrounding the white council. You'll notice they are slightly see through in the robes that's because they are the nine resurrected kings of men. Would anyone else love a lego shop surprise exclusive polybag of Sauron on orders over £50 in December. Cause that'd be pretty epic They could imply do him like he appears there an orange figure perhaps partially transparent. Either that or Armoured Bolg. Edited November 6, 2014 by legofreak86 Quote
