Steph 104th Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks for the comparison deskp. I wonder if he carries the hammer and the axe in the film, either way I glad we got the axe its truer the book for me, Quote
greenalfonzo Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks for the comparison deskp. I wonder if he carries the hammer and the axe in the film, either way I glad we got the axe its truer the book for me, With PJ doing everything digital now, I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally shot with an axe, then changed to a hammer for ratings reasons or whatever. Heck, there's still 3 weeks to release, PJ may change it back to an axe again by then. Maybe just made it a hammer to tone done the commercials for all the mommies watching. Quote
Mr. Cube Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Preuss: He had a blue hat in the movies...but his LEGO version wears grey hat. Quote
Steph 104th Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Dain could also be like Dwalin in the first film with 2 axes and his hammer. So both are a possibility. Quote
bachamn Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 https://www.youtube....h?v=mvgDhjWSqM4 cca 0:52 :) thanks for the link! I don't have TV so I hadn't seen any of those spots yet. Totally agree that Dain looks as epic as he should, and, holy crap, Galadriel at 0:06! Quote
Balbo Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Thanks for the comparison pic, deskp . The Lego Dain minifigure looks nice, but the beard of him really deserved a unique piece... Quote
kevkipo Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Has anyone seen Bofur in his armour? we have seen everyone except Bofur... I want to make his armour fig with weapon! Quote

kevkipo Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Ok so i have found this: Yet no clear view of Bofur's weapon :P Quote
Hammerhand Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Cool picture, it shows the dwarven armor nicely. I agree with Mr Breden that Bofur's weapon looks like some kind of mace. I have to admit though, when I saw that poster, my first thought was "Man, that axe is huge, Dwalin must have super-dwarven strength!". Then I looked at how how he was gripping it. Definitely a rubber prop. Quote
Steph 104th Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Thanks for the image, Bofur does look to be carrying a mace, its nice to see lego Dwalin was accurate with the green-ish axe. Quote
kevkipo Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Then mace it is Thanks lads, changed Bofur's arms with metallic arms and grey hands and without cape Now he looks pretty battle accurate to me, tough he would look better with Nori's outfit from the first movie but sadly i dont have him Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Nori is weirdest looking dwarf I have ever seen :) I dont like him much in his movie version. As minifig he is quite good, but still ..weird and he has quote psychopatic look in his face on that picture as well :). Balin hasnt his armour on a picture yet, I ve seen some "behind scenes" from the third movie and he was wearinfg a full plate armour (dark green and gold) almost as much heavy as Thorin has. Quote

Blazej_Holen Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 You mean Dwalin? Also i think Nori looks pretty good! Yep my bad, I ment Dwalin :) Regarding to Nori - its just my personal opinion, nothing serious. :) Quote
kevkipo Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Yep my bad, I ment Dwalin :) Regarding to Nori - its just my personal opinion, nothing serious. :) I understand, i assume it's because of the hair? also on the psycopatic part, they said he is kinda the outlaw of the group bit of a criminal You can compare him to Rico from Penguins or Mister T Quote

Steph 104th Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Last thing we want is Dwalins axe flopping on the back swing before swatting an Orc, wouldn't be awfully convincing. Quote

Balbo Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 That hurts . Ironhill soldiers would have been a fantastic addition to the current sets. Such a helmet without that plume would have been perfect... Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Is it possible to buy multiples of those helmets somewhere? Quote
