kevkipo Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I think we can all agree on one thing, Lego could've least done new face printing for the dwarves Quote
kreimkoek Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I have yet to see BoFA sets in most stores here in Belgium. I would expect the sets to be in stores before the movie. Quote

Dain should have gotten a new face print obviously, but if lego was gonna do 4 more new prints, I would have them be a new figure instead of new faces. Quote

Precisely, there are so many characters that deserved to be lego-rised. Quote

I'd have preferred that, but if after that was done, getting a new Dwalin face and such would have been great. I also kinda wish there was a golden Smaug...(And maybe one with a different expression, like for brickfilming) But it's obvious why that didn't happen! XP Quote
The-Nexu Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) I've just watched the movie and it was epic! How could anyone not think that it was good? Even though the audio description didn't work i still enjoyed it. I didn't mind the sets before this but now I am really disappointed with what we didn't get. Oh, well. I guess that most of the figures we didn't get could be made with brick forge and armor printed torsos. Edited December 13, 2014 by The-Nexu Quote
deskp Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 (edited) for interested people, heres a good look at wahts Dains beard is in the movie. https://www.herr-der...04-cb223953.jpg http://33.media.tumblr.com/ca5ad71ef9dc41f497a3d4a428895119/tumblr_nfk1kwZNhJ1r6llqio1_500.gif Edited December 13, 2014 by deskp Quote

(and Bolg) IMO Alfrid should have been included in Lake-town Chase set, perhaps instead of Bilbo who isn't terribly relevant to that scene. Edited December 13, 2014 by bungeshea Quote
The-Nexu Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I've just had an idea. Someone needs to create a topic where we discuss how we filled in the holes lego left in these movies. It would be a good place to get ideas for making iron hill dwarvs, armored elves, the company in armor or how people have created missing locations. Basically a lego hobbit mocing discussion and idea area. Lego has abandoned us in our hour of need and we must look to each other to survive! I would create it myself but I haven't figured out how to do that. Quote

I would create it myself but I haven't figured out how to do that. For a couple months I've been thinking that using Shredder's helmet would be alright for the elven river guards in DoS. It wouldn't be perfect of course, but it'd be better than nothing. IMO Alfrid should have been included in Lake-town Chase set, perhaps instead of Bilbo who isn't terribly relevant to that scene. Yeah, I fully expected him to be in it before it was announced. Bilbo was kinda necessary as that was the only set he was in that wave, and he is kinda THE HOBBIT. It is a shame, regardless. Quote

If the two-movie thing hadn't messed up the sets, then Barrel Escape would have been in that wave and no need for Bilbo to be included in that set. Alfadas Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I will go and see the movie today, hope I like it as much as the others! Quote
kreimkoek Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I was kinda disappointed with the movie tbh. So many stupid filler moments that could have been used for more interesting scenes. The iron hill dwarves were badass but you see too little of them. And Azog looks amazing in BoFA. We should have gotten a really pale armored Azog like really really white, it would look more like the movie Azog than the one we have now. Quote
The-Nexu Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I created it! www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103382 Quote

Just returned from the movie, i loved it from beginning to end , Bard was fantastic as he always is. I have a new love for Dain he was so funny the beginning with Smaug was awesome, Bain was very heroic. It was weird to see the master die tho, Dain (like i said) was hilarious as was Alfrid, also sad to see Dain's little piggy go and Thrandy's Elk?! who would've tought that! The final battle was amazing, but it was so weird to see Fili fall to his death i had a pain in my heart when i saw that, with Kili and Thorin it was a better death (a weird thing to say tho) but it was like they threated Fili as garbage Also for the set idea's how about Ravenhill instead of Beorn and Eagle 2 of the Ram's Quote
Alfadas Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Just returned from the movie, holy shit. It was awesome! Wish to see your wave, LF86. All in all, amazing movie, TLG could have gotten so much more money if they had made another wave... Quote
Dragonlego27 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 The film was beautiful, melancholy and awesome all at the same time. I wish Alfrid had died at the start though, I found him a bit annoying. Love the set list Legofreak86! My only edition would be about ten different battlepacks too. the beginning with Smaug was awesome, Bain was very heroic. That was also the one time I truly hated the Pale Orc. Piggy may still be alive...he was taken down, not outright killed. Finally, what the Hell happened to Daisy? Quote

sahidko Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Saw the movie yesterday, better than the second part but still nothing extraordinary. The short screen time of Galadriel + Elrond, Iron Hill dwarfs or Beorn was an unpleasant surprise for me. The battle itself was so chaotic and jumping from one place to another that they actually needed a character everytime (usually Gandalf) to tell you what are the orcs doing otherwise you would be completely lost. :D From lego perspective - even more disappointed that we didnt get a Iron Hill Dwarf figure...
