But where's Azogs claw in this?

looks like he's holding it in his right hand. Since it appears to be a 'dinner' scene, maybe he was using it as a utensil in LEGO-comedy fashion ;)

thats a knife from the friends sets.

But i think this is an early screenshot before they had made his claw hand animations or something.

I also think that

Lego has gotten great at printing, jsut look at radagast's hat/beard, thranduils hair/crown, bofurs hat/hair, laktown guards helmets etc.

Bolg is the same color as his father, lego chouse to make Azog tan so they should follow that through with Bolg. DOS the movie is less saturated than AUJ

It just feels like they pay no attention to the fact that these orcs are related.. The lego game will proapbly throw in alot of bad father/son jokes but the design does not work out.

Also in the movie Bolg's metal plates have kindof grown into his head, but the lego wearsion is like some hat thing sitting on top.

-also best look at smaug yet.Theres a whole lot of inaccuracies going on, making Smaug very unimpressive. He should have been magnificent but ends up being kindof meh, hate it when lego disapoints...

That Smaug is looking fantastic! You really have to keep in mind this is Animated, it is not the real mouth... maybe he is talking at this specific screenshot and his mouth might be different. Again what is Balin doing there?

But hes mouth is like that on the cover aswell as the baby smaug.

Balin is there because in the game you can ALWAYS play 2 player, thats why the goblin is alive with bilbo in gollums cave and that is why Balin went with Bilgo into smaug. Same thing goes for radagas joining gandalf in dol guldur etc.

Yes his mouth is like that on BABY smaug, not the real Smaug :)

And that is a logic reason yes

I've just checked Brickipedia

They say that the biggest set is called "King under the mountain"

I don't really believe this, but it is a potential name

@kevkipo: I wouldn't trust anything on brickipedia unless it involves crystal-clear proof (preferably in the form of pictures) I think a name including the word "Erebor" will be much more likely since TLG rarely use abstract set names

Wikia's Brickipedia, especially it's forums, have basically gone to hell after most of the editors left to Brickimedia. One of the admins there still keeps the mainspace fairly decent, but I wouldn't trust anything on the forums.

baby smaug is extremely based on real samug...

Whats baby Smaug?

I've kinda been absent from this thread for a LONG time. From what I can gather, we should be expecting some images of the sets/figs within the coming week? If this is true, its very exciting. Getting a full look at Smaug, along with some of the Dwarf warriors, will be very welcome.

Also, I can't decide whether or not I like the Darth Maul style Bolg headpiece. I feel like Bolg needed to be similar in height and stature to Azog, so not going with a similar head/shoulders piece seems like an odd move. Maybe they decided to make him look smaller so Beorn looks more menacing when set beside him?

Baby Smaug and Gimli are DLC characters for the game.

No set reveals, just the video game release coming up

I hope that design of Bolg isn't the one we get assuming we get one at all. But he looks good in white. If we get Azog again say in the BOFA set I hope they take the opportunity to recolor him white.

Why are we assuming that the game designs are what we will see in the plastic? We certainly have never really seen that in either LotR, Marvel or Batman2? Yeah some stuff matched up. Other things were not even close. There is no way to really predict which way it will go, beyond if it looks to good, chances are its in game only.

Every fig from LOTR wave 2 was almost exactly spot on to the video game versions. Same goes for Marvel superheroes... So yeah it's reasonable to expect that the figs in the game will at least be very similar to the ones we get.

we are aware, but with lotr it did match up. Besides there is nothing else to talk about really, and if we maybe see minifigs designs we'll get in the sets that is kindof a huge deal ;)

With some design from the games you can tell that its inferior to legos standard in wich cases we'll know we wont see that in the sets.

TT Games only design characters themselves that TLG hasn't already designed  Or can you imagine TLG going like "yeah, we already have our designs ready for *insert character here*, but won't let you use it for the game, go make up something yourselves "? In the last few games, we've seen plenty of minifigs that appeared later in sets (the entirety of the latest Marvel wave, pretty much all minifigs in the LOTR wave 2 except Grima etc). I think time is the main factor here, which is why some characters in previous games don't match up, e.g. Flash and Man-Bat in LEGO Batman 2. The game was released in 2012 and the minifigs in 2014, which is quite a gap. The design process is usually concluded around a year prior to the release, so it's safe to assume that said minifigs were designed in 2013 (or at least surely after the release of the game). Once a minifig design is set in stone, there's no real reason to deny it to TT

Theres lots of gameplay videos from the game on youtube now.

The only Characther I've seen so far that i think is directly from the upcoming sets is the Witch king.

Galadriel I really doubt is taken from the sets. in game she got yellow Elrond hair and what looks like Arwen's face

Witch king picture imminent:

The reason I think hes from the sets:

1 The crown is FAT, lego dosent really make thin molds, but the videogame sometimes does.

2 All the print is new. NOT from lotr game.

3 It looks really good

4 it has quirky details

- It should be noted that the crown does not look like it does in AUJ, but They used the wrong crown in that movie.

- Am I sure it's the real deal? obviously not, but lets speculate!
