Floundie Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 In July we'll likely get a set reveal. We won't get official set names till maybe August, although from bits of information we already have one: 79015 Dol Guldur 79016 Lake-Town 79017 Dale 79018 Erebor Quote
kevkipo Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Look at it like this chaps, a reveal is only 57 days away :D Quote
SandMirror38 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Brotherhood Workshop has posted on their facebook page :https://www.facebook.com/BrotherhoodWorkshop That they are working on new commissioned videos for Lego they then go on to say... Brotherhood Workshop At the moment, I've started 2 Star Wars and 2 Hobbit videos. The SW videos will probably be up sooner, cause the Hobbit videos are using unreleased LEGO sets. So obviously this is like last time BW had been asked to do videos and they made them early with unreleased minifigures and -I think- set and those were 100% accurate to what we got in the DOS wave. So this means the sets and minifigs are done which means I don't understand why we won't see anything at SDCC!! Quote

I know BHW works for Lego but that he would get Unreleased Sets this early? i just send him a FB post asking a little bit description of the sets, probably he wont tell but i can give it a shot Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 @kevkipo: Thanks a lot for contacting BW They probably won't reveal anything (not even vague hints) since I'm pretty sure they're contractually obligated not to do so Quote
Steph 104th Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I doubt it will work but its the best shot we have got, so thank you for contacting them, if it proves fruitful. this thread will light up! Quote
kevkipo Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Thanks for the thanks friends To this day i'm not answered yet, Altough i got 2 likes already Hope's up Lads! Quote
Floundie Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Doubt you'll get anything, doesn't hurt to try though. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 And here's their answer: <<Hi Kevin, because I signed an NDA, I can't really disclose anything That said, I follow your forum, and I don't really have access to much more information than you have already posted. LEGO has sent me 1 big unreleased set, but it's one that you have already posted about and described, even though no picture was available.>> Yeah, just as expected Nice try though Quote

deskp Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 seems sensible he'd want to make soemthing with smaug. Quote
Mahtion Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I wish Kevin could confirm which minifigs we get somehow in Erebor set. Quote
Floundie Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) I wish Kevin could confirm which minifigs we get somehow in Erebor set. I think Kev would tell us if he had the Erebor set. (Kevin=kevkipo, Brotherhood Workshop are the guys we're talking about.) Edited May 26, 2014 by Floundie Quote
Faefrost Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) We really need to be fair to the TBW guys. They have turned their wonderful skills into some real work. Fishing for them to break an NDA is really not something we want to be doing to our friends and active members around here. Remember in this case ultimately the NDA is not Lego's. It belongs to New Line Cinema and Warner Brothers. They and they alone determine when we get info, and they want it carefully timed to their movie. Edited May 27, 2014 by Faefrost Quote

SandMirror38 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Some updates.... Brotherhood Workshop Kevin, pretty darn awesome. There is a certain "big figure" that is utterly fantastic Brotherhood Workshop Oh yes. That awkward moment when you get tired of playing with a LEGO set that the internet doesn't even know exists. It is a very weird feeling. Brotherhood Workshop Not that the LEGO set is boring....but the video I used it for is BY FAR my biggest LEGO video yet. More than 260 hours of work on it! Whew! Brotherhood Workshop Petar, I do not know....I do not have Dain I think from this we can put together it's Erebor that BW has... Smaug being the "big figure" and with no Dain in the set it is the biggest set he could have UNLESS there it some massive D2C that nobody knows bout... Edited May 27, 2014 by SandMirror38 Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) I agree, it has to be the Erebor set with Smaug being the "big figure" (which is also why they used quotes since he's technically not really a figure) The possibility of a D2C set can be ruled out however since those never introduce new moulds I'm wondering though why TLG have already sent BW that set this far in advance... I know stop-motion videos take a looooong time to make (as BW state themselves) and there's always a certain probability of production delays, but it sounds like they've already finished it pretty much So the video is now being held back for at least 5 months? Edited May 27, 2014 by Lego-Freak Quote
deskp Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) He said he follows this forum, he said that the set had been described here. Now hes saying THE INTERNET DOESENT KNOW IT EXCISTS ?? Does he have multiple sets and ? and theres a 5th set we don't know about? Someone should ask if the internet truly does not know it excists, or if it's truly is one of the 4 we know.. so either lego has made a 5th set with Beorn in a new big bear mold. or it's just the erebor/smaug set wich we VERY MUCH KNOW ABOUT. well: Are we sure this is a hobbit set?: "Oh yes. That awkward moment when you get tired of playing with a LEGO set that the internet doesn't even know exists. It is a very weird feeling." I'm wondering though why TLG have already sent BW that set this far in advance. Well if the set is ready, theres no reason for them to wait. really helps the content creators aswell, and leaves everyone enough time to do all their things. Edited May 27, 2014 by deskp Quote

Because BW is considered a marketing contractor, for this sort of thing. They are producing movies and videos using actual physical product. Just like whoever is making corresponding Lego commercials probably receives the materials up to a year in advance. Remember they are not keeping this stuff from us because it isn't done. It is unrevealed now to maximize its impact both from and on the next movie. Heck BW may actually be making real Lego commercials for all we know. (Now that would be marketing brilliance!) Quote
Niku Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) I saw this today, probably is already posted but havent read this thread in a while. Sorry if is repost. And is that Galadriel? Edited May 27, 2014 by Niku Quote
Blakstone Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 It certainly looks like it, but she is grouped with the LotR characters. Interestingly enough the orc two above and one to the right looks like the Orc General from The Return of the King. Can anyone make out the set numbers on these two? Quote
Gremer Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Maybe 79007 for Galadriel and 79008 for the Orc General? Edited May 27, 2014 by Gremer Quote
just2good Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Wait, where did that instruction book originate from? Quote
Niku Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I dont know its specific source, I just saw it on a spanish forum where they are also guessing about the fig. Quote
