Niku Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Good news in that case. Lets hope we can get more information about the sets in the next weeks. Quote
just2good Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Good news in that case. Lets hope we can get more information about the sets in the next weeks. Looks like I haven't really earned the Photoshop Cert I have- it is fake. Snooped around a bit, lookie here: blending my custom-created Galadriel to the LEGO Tolkien characters poster Case closed. Blakstone Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) I appreciate the research. Makes sense as I really doubt a LotR wave 3 would only bring two new minifigs. Edited May 28, 2014 by Blakstone Quote
Niku Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Too bad is fake. Well at least we know now, I shall tell the guys on the other site the news. Quote
Floundie Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I could have told you that was fake, I posted that picture of his custom Galadriel here a while ago. I wouldn't pester Brotherhood Workshop anymore, it's clear he is not allowed to divulge any more information about it. Quote
Faefrost Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) If that is a real Galadriel it seems to use the Maggie Simpson base with a matching 1x2 between it and the torso. Ugh! Just saw that it is fake. Not a bad way to do her however. Edited May 28, 2014 by Faefrost Quote
atreyu2112 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Brotherhood Workshop Oh yes. That awkward moment when you get tired of playing with a LEGO set that the internet doesn't even know exists. It is a very weird feeling. UNLESS there it some massive D2C that nobody knows bout... Minas Tirith??? Quote
kevkipo Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 If you ask me he's really talking about Erebor, and with "no one knows it excist" he probably means to say that we dont have a clear vision of the set yet? and he does. Quote

I think thats a real strange way off saying that if it's the case. because knowing it excists is like THE thing we know about it, and not much else. Quote

That's how I read it too. I think it's just over-analyzation because we have nothing else to talk about :) And yeah I'd back off the guy, trying to get someone to break an NDA isn't cool. They can face serious litigation for that. Edited May 28, 2014 by bachamn Quote
kevkipo Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Oh i dont want to spam the poor man anymore :) i'll let him enjoy his set! Quote
Sarah Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 If only this were true. I believe my MTG, comic book, and baseball card collections have done nothing but depreciate in value since 1994. There was a time when some MTG cards were worth quite a bit. Moxes. And one of the earliest expansion sets -- Arabian Nights maybe? Alpha and Beta cards. Quote
kevkipo Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Yeah, what? It was an old discussion :) about how old things are sometimes worth something. Quote
nymmerod Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 What do you guys think the odds are on getting more wargs in the new sets? I've been hoping for a new color like reddish brown or sand yellow. Is that too wishful? I guess the Dale battle set would really be the only option for them. And I also guess we don't know if PJ will even use them in the battle of the five armies. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Shame about the Galadriel minfigure, it would've been really good to get another LOTR set with some form of confirmation. With the recent posts about the video's I am starting to get my enthusiasm back towards this line. Part of me wonders if the rescheduling of the hobbit BOTFA didn't squeeze the third LOTR out by 12 months, originally they would've had the sets out for BOTFA now seeing as it was supposed to be screening in a few weeks before PJ changed his mind, so any LOTR sets may have been put on the back burner while they fleshed out the BOTFA sets given the extra time and the changes to the wave assortments that lego would have had to contend with due to PJ changing the delivery schedule... That's my hope any way. Quote
SMC Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 ^ or the change + the Lego movie pushed it back till after the last hobbit wave but even if that is the case poor sales could still have killed a 3rd wave Quote

I hope we dont get more wargs, we already have 3 variants! they would just take in the place of other molds we do need but that's just how i think of it. Quote
Blakstone Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Kev, more wargs would not take place of new molds; however, i am good. If I want more, I will buy the Mirkwood Elf army again. Quote
