The younger kids will see licensing the Silmarrilion into a 12 movie arc will be the only way for them to get a huge piece of the pie. Although chances are they won't go near Warner Brothers or New Line or Peter Jackson. Yes he is.... Thats why I am saying its 99% not the last Tolkien movie to be made... allthought it quite well be the last one for those over 50 since I dont see another made for quite a long long time.
July 13, 201410 yr im not sure there is any appeal in the silmarillon uness its part of the pj/nl/wb universe.
July 13, 201410 yr Well, if Game of Thrones can be successful, I'm sure that a series or TV-movie miniseries of the Silmarillion can be too - it's just as depressing (going against the happily-ever-after formula) and less controversial. Especially with the CGI becoming more available. I think it's just a matter of getting the rights. A new animated take on LotR or the Hobbit is also possible. Though all this is still pretty far off in the future. I guess the problem is more that these wouldn't be such blockbusters as PJ's films, so less likely to be picked up by TLG. It's a small miracle we got what we did.

If there is 0 appeal in Silmarillion then there is even less in LOTR and Hobbit..... Silmarillion is far grander and more diverse than LOTR and Hobbit can ever be.... far more to work with.... if Hobbit can be doen in 3 movies Silmarillion could be 30 movies or 60 Episodes easily......
July 13, 201410 yr ShyTy from Brickipedia released a list of confirmed information (nothing new), and said that all the sets will be shown at SDCC: "First things first, you will be receiving The Lonely Mountain as the biggest set. And yes, it includes Smaug. Don't forget the Arkenstone as well! (Be sure to put this on your article of The Lonely Mountain set). While The Battle of the Fives Armies set is harder to explain, I'll tell you about the Lake Town one. The Lake Town set includes the tower of which Reveal hidden contents Bard shoots the Black Arrow to kill Smaug . This set will include Bain. (Be sure to put this on your article of The Lake Town set) And finally the Dol Goldur set. This set features a small rock like structure and a feature. It comes with Galadriel. (Be sure to put this in your article of The Dol Goldur set) ... To answer your question, Brunito's. These sets will be unveiled at Comic Con. Along with a Battle of the Five Armies trailer. Get excited!!!" http://lego.wikia.co..._4.07.15_PM.png Edited July 13, 201410 yr by Gremer

True. I just thought it was interesting.
July 14, 201410 yr If the get the wotch king in, they may not make any lotr sets then, apart from gothmog and some gondorians they'd throw in I fear that line is done. The additional info on the hobbit sounds good, looking forward to the dragon...

July 14, 201410 yr When I think of the Witch King, I think of the armored one... Twilight one is okay, but still leaves a massive, gaping hole in the collection. Getting another Ringwraith off BL would help, but that'd mean waiting for BrickForge or BrickWarrior or someone on Shapeways to make a helmet for him (if they haven't already).

I understood that was the situation was speculating that if he was included (don't think LEGO really worry about which movie or version) it would be less likely that he would be included in a LOTR theme based set.
July 14, 201410 yr I was reading the information at the beginning of the forum when.... There was a minifig that would glow in the dark (the Witch King?) in the £11.99 set, that also came with two other figs (that I have no notes on). There was a Lake Town Bell Tower set (name subject to change) which included Bain (£34.99 i think) A £59.99 Battle Of The Five Armies set, comes with a few figs, one of them perhaps (I had to google what I thought she said and this is what it came up with) Dain Ironfoot (??) The £99.99 set was called The Lonely Mountain, which comes with some kind of dragon thing (Smaug?) but it was not at the fair - it was instead represented by a red dragon from the Castle line. It comes with Bilbo and a few others. Most of the audio is her demonstrating play features of the sets, not the figures ... This guy from fbtb has aduio on the sets? Do you think he will let us have a listen?

July 14, 201410 yr Ohhh. I'm sorry if I annoyed anyone on this particular matter. Not long now until any info.:)
July 14, 201410 yr Not getting the Witch-Kings kickass helmet from ROTK is a shame indeed It wouldn't make ANY sense whatsoever, but how awesome would it be if TLG gave us both his Twilight crown and his helmet just for the fun of it?

July 14, 201410 yr Does anyone else think it's kind of strange that we'll receive two (or three, if Elrond gets a new print) exclusive figures in an £11.99 set? LEGO usually puts the highly-sought after exclusives (like Galadriel and the Witch-King) in bigger, more expensive sets, unless they don't plan on making them exclusive for long... maybe we'll get another Galadriel in a future LotR set?
