unimog123 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I don't have this set, but I think yours is a lot better, both performing and looking. Great job! Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Great work. Are you planning to show us more photos of the chassis? (or finish and publish the LDD file?) ;) Quote
VKTechnic Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 Great work. Are you planning to show us more photos of the chassis? (or finish and publish the LDD file?) ;) LDD is finished, although there are some inaccuracies. Once I get those taken care of (with a blog post most likely), I'll publish it. Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Looks great! Nice modification. Those tyres look really badass by the way, I bet they're expensive I guess you didn't retain the shock 'adjusting' functionality of the original? Edited January 23, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote
VKTechnic Posted January 24, 2014 Author Posted January 24, 2014 Looks great! Nice modification. Those tyres look really badass by the way, I bet they're expensive I guess you didn't retain the shock 'adjusting' functionality of the original? Only $50 for all four I didn't keep the shock adjusting, the modded truck has more suspension travel than needed Quote
VKTechnic Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Update! is up, as well as a blog post and LDD file here! Quote
Gee Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 For some reason the video is not available in my country - UK. ;-( Quote
unimog123 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Great revamp! One thing though is that the tires look slightly to big, but I guess that is just part of good crawling. Quote
VKTechnic Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 For some reason the video is not available in my country - UK. ;-( It might be because of the music, I'll try and upload one with no sound. Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 For some reason the video is not available in my country - UK. ;-( In Czech republic is the situation the same ;) (now I don't know whether I have to write "don't worry", or not, because I worry very much :D) Quote
Gee Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Yep, I can see it now. Looks good, very capable. Quote
kevman Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I've always wanted this set. Are the stock tires / rims the same that you would find on the 4x4 rock crawler? I would love to get those tires for my rock crawler. Quote

Thirdwigg Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I like the way this turned out, particularly the changes you made to the suspension. Very well done. Quote
