uncompressed it is 80mm from hole to hole so it should fit good to 62,4x20 scale. vor bigger vehicles the leafs should be modular to adjust the stiffness like in real trucks.

Yes, the small Mercedes G :-) I had to wait a while, because of lacking parts. But since I bought some major sets in the past I had almost a parts for the chassis...

And it fits the Unimog...

Are you going to take a look at making rimcovers for the frontwheels of the 8482 tractor?

And can you look into the possebillity of making those 42030 loader rimcovers in the size of the 8265 loader?

You might need to separate the U-joint part for printing, then put them together afterwards.

Guys, who already got something from shapeways: whats the quality of plastic? How stromg and fxexible is it? Is it comparable with LEGO ABS ?

the nylon material is more flexible and less hard than ABS

I only know the non polished parts. They have a little grainy surface. Regarding flexibility I would say, that the shapeway piece are a little more flexible. But I only know the wheel covers and the flexibility of those could also base on the size and shape of the parts.

Next time if I order I would definitly order the polished version.

Another question. How much do you think it would cost to get a real ABS molding form?

I do not knw if a tractor rim is exactly simmilar to the U406 rim, but isdoes look very much the same.

Could you look in to that.

I like the wheelcover or the 8265 loader and the rim, do you have a picture of the other side of the rim?

The rim looks exactly like the cover, because the holes are hidden. The covers for the tractor i will make next week.

Do you have any idea if the quick connect part works?

EDIT: Would it be too difficult to make the turntable studded?

I see that steel is an available material in Shapeways. Albeit way more expensive I wonder if some parts could be made with it for heavy duty models.

For example some of the helicopter or even steering parts may be more useful in steel. Do you think that material could work?

Any progress on something like this? An option would be a standard beam, with every other opening rotated 90°. For a 15L beam, 8 holes opening up/down, 7 holes opening left/right. Or even better, a standard beam, with holes pointing front/back on the ends, and then left/right and up/down alternating, something like this but with all of the pins fully seated

for the first part, let me some time, after a week without internet i have to do many things before .in a week my first rehablititation has ended i have enough time to do it. the second is very special but should not be a problem.

a notification to the universal joints, they can not be printed in a way to be flexible. i have to modify it.

to the one person which has ordered the two segment bucket. the same can happen with the bucket. please tell if it works.

Might be a stupid question, but does the old Expert Builder gears fit on regular Technic axles? Are the holes regular pin holes?

an other question

iam working on a more realistic portal hub, the following picture shows a version which allows to use 8/24, 12/20 and 16/16 gear combinations. for more stability of the structure only 8/24?
