Saberwing40k Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I don't think what you're asking for is quite possible.... Anyway, I'm really liking some of the stuff posted on this thread. I'd personally like to see: some new wheels with positive offset for the Unimog tires New clutch gears, compatible with the standard changeover clutches and an end to end bracket for linear actuators, allowing them to be ganged easier. SNIPE Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) If I may oversimplify this ... you're essentially asking for the old technic beams, but with 'rounded' ends, and possibly a smaller height ... correct? Correct, studless beam but with studs and clutch holes, the clutch doesnt effect the thickness There would be a half clutch on each end so you can attach them ontop of a longer if not the extra on the longer beam wont have anywhere to interlock so neither will the rest of the studs. efferman Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) yes, but with 22 € a little bit expensive edit: superleggera better 6 holes? Edited March 8, 2014 by efferman Quote
efferman Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 upload your part to shapeways? and in which lengths? to the rims looks this superleggera better and do you think the superleggeras are stable enough ? Quote
D3K Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I actually think the 3 hole version looks better, but that might just be me... Quote
SNIPE Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) if you meant me then I recon 4L, 6L, because 8, 10, and 12L can be made with these combinations, lego should make even number of holes/lengh Edited March 8, 2014 by SNIPE Quote

SNIPE Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) This is epic! are you watching the lego group? Edited March 8, 2014 by SNIPE Quote
efferman Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) are you watching TLG? sorry, iam again lost in translation edit: iam a afol, so i watching the lego group for 30 years. or wanbt you say something else? Edited March 8, 2014 by efferman Quote
SNIPE Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I meant if the the lego group is watching this topic they should make the parts Quote
Dion Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Maybe you could make a version of this part:http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=53178 for the small pneumatic cylinders. I only own one small pneumatic cyilinder, but it might be useful for other people. Quote
efferman Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 dion, nice idea snipe, iam not a natural in english, but i think the correct words should be: tlg, are you watching this? Quote
SNIPE Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Yes, that also works efferman Is it possible to have the tiny holes in the clutches filled in, also How about offset clutches (these will be directly under the holes and may need to overlap with the holes but not in a way that putting a stud in the clutch would block the hole, there should just be enough room. DrJB Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 snipe, you want this? snipego 3x1 von efferman auf Flickr saberwing, a truck style rim or for sport cars? It's essentially a Modulex Technic .... Quote
efferman Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) snipe, filling the holes in the studs is no problem, but putting the clutches under the pin holes without blocking the pinhole is not possible drJB, these parts are already existing? edit: superleggera V2 is available edit² dion, here is the bracket to couple 2 small cylinders Edited March 9, 2014 by efferman Quote
DrJB Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 drJB, these parts are already existing? No, those parts do not exist. I was simply referring to another lego brand (not in production anymore). In the past, lego made bricks that have the same height as width (these are called ModuleX). Though, lego never made Technic version of the ModuleX, as the latter was primarily destined for architecture studios. These new parts you've made, they kind of fill such gap. Quote
efferman Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) thanks for this info! after all of these big rims, now one for the 62x20 rims. more offset and a clean inner side 62x20 rim von efferman auf Flickr Edited March 9, 2014 by efferman Quote
DrJB Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 snipe, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are online snipego concept von efferman auf Flickr Not sure how much of a difference this will make on the cost, but one can reduce the amount of plastic used by making small voids between the pin holes, as in the lego liftarms. The parts will not look very 'smooth' from the side, but I am sure Lego did that for reducing the cost/amount of plastic as well. Quote
efferman Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 it would be a few cents cheaper, but the studholes at the bottom sides need the material around them. too less material thickness is not good to print Quote
Boxerlego Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 If your interested in a challenge. I would love to see a custom made functional valve gear for a steam engine. Quote
