efferman Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) an adaptor tu use RC rims with the standard 3 pin mounting points edit a crankshaft with an angle of 120° because the fake engines are to big, a custom V6 with a length of only 6 studs, where the original has 8 studs. it includes new cylinderblocks with 3 cylinders in one block and a cylinderblock support with a half stud thickness Edited February 14, 2014 by efferman Quote
jesse66058 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) an adaptor tu use RC rims with the standard 3 pin mounting points RC wheel adapters, just genius! This combined with the 'Ultimate Wheelhub' from Nicjasno should give so many useabilities! But when it comes to that fake v6 cylinder, it's a nice concept but i don't think it's sufficiënt enough. efferman Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 The fake engine, is only a way to learn how to make complex parts and put them together to mechanismsl Quote
jesse66058 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Ah, i see. Excuse me. Maybe another stupid question, but is there a material that can be printed air and/or liquid-tight? Quote
efferman Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 A hollow part which can swim or act as a airtank should be no problem Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 An adapter for dirt crusher wheels to a normal axle would be nice :) Quote
efferman Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 Can you give me a sketch with dimensions? Quote
Zerobricks Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Just a 2L long plastic parts with axlehole, with such outer shape it fits snuggly in the dirt crusher wheel Quote
Technyk32231 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Why don't you make a topic called "Effe's new part ideas" or something like that for all these new part ideas? Quote
efferman Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 maybe a moderator can change the topic title zblj, not sure about the exakt dimension of the rim but this has a diameter of 16mm and the width of the cross is 8mm. the lengt is 16mm too dirt crusher adaptor von efferman auf Flickr would this work? efferman Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) when the dimensions fit, i will reduce the weight of the part to make it so cheap as possible here is the link to the files one in .stl and one in .stp https://www.dropbox.com/sh/j39rb1muedmxjhv/Y5fT_nk7g4 Edited February 15, 2014 by efferman Quote
efferman Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 i have made a short vid of my custom V6 it would be nice if lego would produce the disks with the 120° displacement. Quote
efferman Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) the outer holes are on a diameter of 8mm and how should a center hole work when it collides with every outer hole? we have actually a part with a displacement of 120 degrees and a center hole, but this has the outer holes on a 16mm diameter. Edited February 17, 2014 by efferman Quote
nicjasno Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 It can't. Would be a nice new pulley wheel though if it had 6 axle holes on it with a center axle hole. Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 what do you think about this part? powerballadaptor von efferman auf Flickr Something like that would be really nice to have, especially if it could be mounted inside a rim. It reminds a bit of the birfields in the Toyota Land Cruisers. Quote
