Dafgek81 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Hi Efferman, When you get those leafsprings, I would love to see them in use on a truck or so. Quote
AndyCW Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Is there any chance of your reviving this piece? It seems far superior to the 8880 hubs I am struggling with. An independently sprung crawler would be quite awesome. v/r Andy Quote
efferman Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Dafgek, a friend has ordered the leafsprings. He want to build a tipper truck with them. Andy i will take at this weekend a look on it to bring it online. Quote
AndyCW Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Thank you they will compliment the 'birfields' that I ordered the other day. v/r Andy Quote
Nevercallmebyneme Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Efferman, When I look at the Axle Support Frame piece I always think of using it as part of a custom bionicle figure but there's another custom part I'd need to do that. Could you make a ball-joint socket that I could attach to the four holes on either end? Quote
efferman Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 the 8880 style wheelholders are available in multiple colours nevercallmebyneme, can you make a sketch to show what you want? Quote
Dafgek81 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Hi Efferman, A little sidetep from this topic, but how is your XL version off the 8109 coming along? Quote
efferman Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) nevercallmebyneme something like this? dafgek, this is cancelled for a long time Edited June 22, 2015 by efferman Quote
Dafgek81 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Efferman, Last year you made mudguard parts for the Unimog and 8258 tyres, could you design a size for the old 24x43 wheels, the ones used on the back of the old 8862 backhoe loader? I am collecting parts for an Actros that uses those wheels and planning on building a tipping trailer behind it, would like to use a set off those type mudguards on it. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I thinking about that still, don't know if it is going to be twin or single tyre. Could you do both? Quote
MaxSupercars Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Hello Effe, I have ordered few 3D printed objects from Shapeways designed by you. I received this E-Mail regarging "Actuator Stroke 18 Outside" XXX (Shapeways) Hi XXX, I wanted to reach out to you about your order XXX . Specifically your Actuator Stroke 18 Outside. We here at Shapeways try to be as open and upfront as is possible with our community. I have your model in front of me and it looks like it did not leave our printing process unscathed. It looks like the sprue broke before we could dye it. Can you review the attached picture and let me know if you would like us to still dye the model in black and ship it to you? What do you say Effe... It's OK to dye it BLACK... or? Thanx... MaxSupercars Edited June 23, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
efferman Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 damn connection wires! now i know why the print success is lower than 80 percent. ok, next revision of connection is to do. for you i guess is best to get the white parts and colouring it yourself. so you can colouring the hull and the piston rod in different colours. nevercallmebyneme here it is https://www.shapeway...0ddc96667284bc7 axle support frame for torsen diff with bionicle ball on top a suspension arm for bionicle balls a wishbone for bionicle balls, made for large truck models Quote
Nevercallmebyneme Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Wow now there's some useful parts I didn't even expect. I'll have to leave ordering and trying them out until I can transfer some money to my online shopping account but that's definitely on my to do list. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) [quote name=efferman' Love these parts, can you show in a render how they are placed and fit together and how a technic diff would fit in there? https://www.shapeway...0ddc96667284bc7 axle support frame for torsen diff with bionicle ball on top a suspension arm for bionicle balls a wishbone for bionicle balls, made for large truck models Hello Efferman, love those suspensionparts, can you make a render how they are placed together and how a Technic diff would fit. efferman Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Dafgek, here is your fender for twintires hey guys, what do you think about this u joint? Quote
Nevercallmebyneme Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I'm interested in that U joint but might like to see an example of it in use. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Hello Efferman, Thanks for designing the fender. Will take some time before I can use it, money is kind of tight now and I have to build the truck fisrt. Maybe I will use them for that to, but I don't know yet. Still hoping to build the truck this year, but I don't know if I can. Can you also make a fender for a single tire, maybe the trailer will get single tires. You are from Germany, could you tell me what is common there on a side tipping combination. Dual or single tires on the trailer? Quote
efferman Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 @nevercall I will order a set at beginning july. Dafgek I am not much in touch with trailers, but simple standard trailers should have a wider single tire. Quote
