efferman Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) I think i have to make an update. many parts are new made in the last time. It containes a flex cable replacement and two 14z bevel gears. First a part which was made in cooperation with 2LegoOrNot2Lego. He Wrote „Replacement part for Ingmar Spijkhoven AKA 2LegoOrNot2Lego’s Custom LEGO® Models. To save you some money all five original Technic Flex Cable parts in the parts list can be replaced by this single replacement part! These rare and therefor hard to get Technic Flex Cable parts are no longer produced by The LEGO Company. As we all know rare parts become expensive which all has to do with supply and demand. For this very reason a replacement part has been designed and developed. This replacement part is Euro 4,40 compared to an average price of roughly Euro 13,00 for a set of the original Technic Flex Cable parts. Don’t you feel forced to use this replacement parts, you can always just build these models with the original Technic Flex Cable parts, it is up to you! It is developed for you convenience, so do what ever suites you best! To find out more about Ingmar Spijkhoven's Custom LEGO® Models visit: http://ingmarspijkhoven.blogspot.nl NOTE: To make sure these parts do what they are supposed to do they fit tight. Just to let you know. 2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Thanks so much #efferman for being so kind to design this replacement part! It really was a pleasure to work with you and you really are good at what you do!!! It really is very much appreciated and hopefully we are helping a lot of builders with this one too...as you do with all your great custom parts! doug72 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 A part to allow an 8T gear to mesh with the new Z60 turntable plus another to allow a worm gear to be used would be great. Had many problems getting a satisfactry solution for my TC8 crane entry. Quote
efferman Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 there is no need for a special part Quote
doug72 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 there is no need for a special part Many thanks for that solution - means a re-design for the connection between the top of the tower & the Z60 turntable Quote
efferman Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 new parts have arrived unfortunately the planetary part works not like i want and i have to change some things. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Nice work... hopefully TLG wake up and make the middle size steering wheel on itself... Max... Edited November 19, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
AOW Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 efferman -> a one piece Straight six. 9 studs long -> this looks like engine block :) :) just make a pistons for it and we have perfect "small fake engine" :) Quote
efferman Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 Yes, the one piece straight six works with standard pistonsand with thin 2l liftarms as crankshaft piece between two pistons Quote
AOW Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Yes, the one piece straight six works with standard pistonsand with thin 2l liftarms as crankshaft piece between two pistons can you show an example of it ? Quote
efferman Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 sure please note that this one is a half stud to long because i had made a silly error in the cad file. the model on shapeways has a fixed file. Quote
Richard Dower Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 i like that engine block design...but i think it needs somethin more....like cutouts in the side like the techinc engine block has. have 2 lines on the first and last block and then 3 lines on the others. it would add an extra design element to that custom part. effer man....i notice you are using the ultra rare Red 2753 parts!...jealous much?!...i have a couple in Rust but not Red :-( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=2853&colorID=5&in=A i like that engine block design...but i think it needs somethin more....like cutouts in the side like the techinc engine block has. have 2 lines on the first and last block and then 3 lines on the others. it would add an extra design element to that custom part. M5Technic Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 another part which is not really neccessary, but i think it makes some things more stable. what do you think is the main use of it? This is great for differential with place for easy siple independent suspension Quote
efferman Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 for this i have made my axle support frame and the new 5x7 frame. beside of this i have made these Pinhole With 2 Pins 2m 6 piece set Connector #3 With Pinhole 6 Piece Set Connector #4 With Pinholes, 6 piece set [/url]Connector #5 With Pinholes Connector #6 With Pinholes, 6 Piece Set Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Really love how you manage to come up with more and more parts...where does it stop? Not at all!!! Quote
andythenorth Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I check this thread every now and then, I'm always impressed. I don't use non-Lego parts myself because part of the game for me is making a MOC work with the available official parts, BUT I do think this is very creative work, and it does push the boundaries. Richard Dower Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 EFFERMAN....can you design this part with two axles on each end instead of pins? Quote
Richard Dower Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) wow!...fast, i did not mean 2L axels on each end, just 1L axles on either side of the middle pin hole :-) Edited December 9, 2015 by Richard Dower Quote
