goggel Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Eric, actually iam working on the basics of a superstructure with the Turntablesupport. That looks great! Ordered the parts. But do I also see a four stage boom? Quote
efferman Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Oh, it is not my crane, i have only solved some stability problems for a friend. Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 How is bottom part attached? Looks rather think, you sure it wont flex sideways too much? Quote
Kumbbl Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Some parts have arrived is this black bucket also available in a glossy surface - like original Lego buckets? if not, are there possibilities to make it glossy - e.g. by politing with very fine grained sandpaper? Quote
efferman Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) zblj, it will be attached to the turntable like this and the two sides will be connected by standard lego parts Kumbll, you can order white, polish it a bit and then paint it in a colour what you want Edited January 25, 2016 by efferman Quote
efferman Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) today something has arrived me. btw, the gearring has 132 teeths Edited January 29, 2016 by efferman Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hi Efferman, I was wondering if it would be possible to print the counteracting boat propellers on a desktop 3D printer? If so, would it be possible if you could share the file for them with me? Thanks Quote
efferman Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 sure https://www.dropbox.com/s/18xovy07cj8c8nd/epic.zip?dl=0 Quote
motomatt Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) Wonder if it's feasible to create a multi-stage telescoping linear actuator like the one used for tilting dump trailers. Perhaps a pneumatic one might be more fitting. Has anyone seen anything like this suitable for lego? Edited February 10, 2016 by motomatt Quote
aminnich Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 We actually discussed this but Efferman didnt join the conversation Maybe he will have some ideas Anyway here is where we were talking about it, starts at post #541 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86913&st=525 Quote

Dafgek81 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Hello Michael, I want to ask if you can help me with a new part. I am looking for a counterpart for hook 30395, it has a towball at on end. Could you design a counterpart? Something like 6628 or 2736, but with a towball socket instead of the towball?? Quote
efferman Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 dafgek, something like this? aminich and motomatt, a two stage telescopic actuator should be possible, but which dimensions it should have? Quote
Dafgek81 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Good make the socket face downward? Turn it counter clockwise a quarter the opening at the opposite side from the open side of the pin So that it looks like a trophy cup. So that the towball can be stuck in from below and when I connect the pin into the connector from the crane, the hook hangs under the connector. How are the clamshell buckets coming along, love to see where you come up with. Edited February 11, 2016 by Dafgek81 Quote
efferman Posted February 11, 2016 Author Posted February 11, 2016 on the large clamshell bucket is nothing made yet, the female towball pin should be no problem, but actually i have to much other things to do, so please be patient. today something is arrived Quote
aminnich Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 We didn't really discuss the scale of it. But I'd say the scale of the actuator we have now, but thicker to fit more telescopic stages Quote
motomatt Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 aminich and motomatt, a two stage telescopic actuator should be possible, but which dimensions it should have? Personally, it would be nice to be able to make an authentic functioning tilting dump trailer to fit onto the back of a 1:17 scale truck. This would mean that the actuator could be up to about 14 studs in length when retracted. But honestly, any scale would be better than not having a multi-stage telescoping linear actuator at all Quote
Saberwing40k Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I'd say a 3 stud wide actuator would work just fine for most applications that would need such a thing. Also, what about a piece sort of like the 42043 telescopic bracket, but as a 2 stage outrigger? Quote
Dafgek81 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 That's an outrigger I would love to own. Quote
bj51 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Hello Efferman, Would you happen to have this rim, with a tumbler tire on it so I can see what it looks like ? Thanks in advance. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 today something is arrived Will there be a day you won't buy any actual LEGO anymore...? Quote
