Well, judging by your name I think you should know a plausible answer already... budget cuts. Either at 'The Royal Bluecoat Fabric Factories^TM', or at TLG.

Another one might be 'identification', especially among the target audience, boys age whatdoiknow... hair might be better suited for 'heroes' than anonymous shakos and such.

When are these supposed to be out in Europe ? I mean brick and mortar stores, not just shop@home. I can't wait to get them.

In Germany it's gonna be April (according to the catalogue).

They have appeared already at BR in Scandinavia. Apparently that's the only place where you'll find them here.

Any word on a second wave of this pirate line or is this it? Really hoping the pirate ship I buy isn't going to be a watered down rehash of an average ship that came out years ago. :( If anything I wish they would re-re-release the Barracuda, I never got one.

I am hoping something of an exclusive set like the Imperial Flagship would come out again... big ship, lots of minifigs, cool sails and many details. That would be so awesome!

A bluecoat flagship! Yes please. Then the bluecoats would get a fair (well maybe more un-fair for the pirates ) fight against the pirate ship. It could be like the last flagship, only with bluecoats. 4 Bluecoat soldiers, 1 sergeant/officer, Governor, Governor's Daughter, Pirate Captain, regular pirate. And like it could be all big and pretty and... Wow! I just hope LEGO makes one.

Everyone seems to want a Bluecoat Imperial Flagship, am I the only who wants something different - something more like the MMV, a harbour with one or two buildings and a smaller merchant ship, maybe one hull piece shorter than the Brick Bounty? The 2009 theme gave the pirates something to fight in 2010, why not this time give them something to raid?

I agree with your specifications. That's how it should be.

(Or I'll have to build one myself, borrowing inspiration from Sebeus)

If they do make an exclusive set, i'd love to see a modular fortress (like the 6276 Eldorado Fortress, but much bigger and detailed). Something ala 6277 Imperial Trading Post would be amazing as well.

I'm with David Thomsen. Would rather see a building, as I'm already working on building a ship for my bluecoats. : P

I much agree with this, though I think we're more likely to see a ship (if anything at all). A modern version of the Imperial Trading Post would be amazing.

That is also my opinion. Nevertheless I want both. I want a Trading post with a fortess part. If you want a mixup og 6277 and 6276 with a little merchant ship.

And I want a Car. Clipper Bluecoat Ship. The size should be not so big.

I know that would be 2 sets and we will properly only get one set, but that would be great.

I don't know why that is, other than the afore-mentioned budget cuts, but I've been using the bluecoats with the printed shakos as sergeants and my B&P bluecoats with their unprinted shakos as the grunts.

What's the purpose?

Your personal SigFig? -> The one with hair, hat can change if needed.

Any other officer? -> Guy with tricorne

The purpose is to determine which one is looking better as an officer...

You would have to ask a Moderator or a high ranking member (Count?) to start a poll. If you go ahead with this, consider making it a general 'Hair vs. Hat' poll to avoid spamming, including also the Admiral figure from BB and whoever else has no proper rain protection...

I have no problem with the hatless officers as this is what I had already been doing for some of them. Pirates too! I think there's one pirate in the chess set with surfer hair? I don't prefer it with or without the hat, but I like to have about one in every three or four pirates or soldiers hatless. (If anyone is going to make a poll, please remember things like this... The BB vs BBB poll only had two options, and no room for other options)

With the new POTC movie coming out on 2017 and even thought it's not official I'm sure we'll get sets based on the movie like we did with the last movie that came out on 2011.So with that in mind if we do get more classic pirates waves it'll be one more at least for 2016.

It might be like last time and end up with that huge ship to fight against Brickbeard's Bounty......one can only hope.
