I was just thinking the same. It would be nice to get a UCS ship or UCS some thing

+1

I really hope we get an Imperial ship for the bluecoats, similar in size to the 2010 Imperial flagship.

I'm going to be the odd man out and say that I DON'T want a ship like 10210 IFS - unless they do something else as well, which I'll explain in a moment. I made my return to Lego with the big, bad IFS - except it's not nearly as big or bad in reality as the pics made it look. I built mine the very day it arrived and couldn't help but feel disappointed. It's not terrible - among the official ships it does indeed look powerful and imposing, and it's TLG's only full-rigged ship to date - but as a showpiece it can't hold a candle to a good custom ship which could be built far better for similar money, especially the ridiculously overpriced current market. I would much rather have a land-based set of some sort - say, the port equivalent of the Medieval Market Village. It hasn't been done in the Pirates theme, but ships are a constant part of the theme, and I'd like a little more variety. Besides, a port scene would probably be more accurate than any ship they make, anyway. I won't be upset if they make another ship, but I won't be thrilled either. Ultimately the paltry lineup currently available just goes to show how unimportant Pirates has become to the powers that be at Lego, and that's a shame.

I am sorry if this has been posted before here, but I do have a question regarding the next wave of pirates, if there is one. I have been looking at the boxes of the current pirate sets. Usually there is the image of the set and then far off in the background a smaller image. Take the box of the brick bounty, on the artwork, on the background you can see treasure (skull) island and then far off you can see what looks like an imperial flagship. In the box for the Soldiers Fort, where far off in the background you can see the brick bounty. Now on the box of treasure island, far off on the background there it is again, the imperial flagship, the same as in the brick bounty box but slightly different in appearance that 10210. For people that have experience with prior lego artwork, are there hints included on them? All the other sets of the background have been produced except that one. Could this be an indication for next year...

There will be no 2. Wave.

I am Very disappointed. Ok I never thought it would give a secound wave, but the wave we have is so incomplete. No Bluecoat ship, no tradingpost, no piratebay Island xy (huge), no mechant ship.... Ok maybe we have a low chance for a D2C set, but when we would only get one set. I guess it would be a copy of IFS from 2010.

Never the less I it like I want that my favourit Soccer Club wins the Champions league and be disappointed when they don t even get the qualification for that. I want it, but money makes the world not my wishes.

I think the greatest disappointment is that there is no bluecoat ship. But if there were I am sure people would have complaints anyway. I'm happy that I finally got to lay my hands on some pirates sets after missing out on everything that came before. :)

As i wrote in a previous post, we are current in summer 2015. How can we be sure whether we can see a new pirate line in summer 2016 or not. Dont be hasty. And even if we don't see a bluecoat ship this year or the next, some of you have way too much talent to let this unanswered. Start building folks!!! I want to admire masterpieces!!!

Does anyone know if the pirate promo set is still available. On lego.com my shopping cart has the brick bounty but not the promo in there. Also the Brick bounty wont be back in stock until the promo has ended so If I order it now will it include the promo set?

When is TLG normally presenting his D2C sets for the next year?

And what are the possibilities of getting a blue coat ship similar to the 2010 Imperial Flagship? If its not soon I am tempted to go ahead and buy one next month, but for the money you could have two at the original RRP :-( I don't know whether to wait.

There are many varieties in the set lego will introduce. Could be: Pirate Ship, Blue Coat Imperial Ship, Red Coat Fortress, Blue Coat Fortress, Pirate Fortress/Island,....etc

My Self, i would love to see something similar to 80s and 90s and hope it will be a remake of the Skull's Eye Schooner or any Fortress sets from that Era!

I wanted a second one so called Lego today to confirm before putting in a qualifying order, and they are still available.

I seriously hope this is what's going to happen. With the disastrously terrible Castle line in 2016(Nexo Knights a.k.a. KK3), I really hope that they won't mess things up by decidint not to introduce a second wave of Pirates III.

Red Coats were in Pirates II, and in the current Pirates theme(Pirates III) it is Pirates vs Blue Coats. I doubt that they'd mix Blue Coats and Red Coats in the same Pirates line.

As for the UCS, since it was IFS, a ship, last time, I think it might be a building like Imperial Trading Post or Eldorado Fortress this time. Although, if they decide to make it a ship like IFS, I'd gladly accept it as well, since I missed it in the last time.

Hope the coming Set will be a 100% remake of vintage sets! like they did in 2001 and 2002 :)

I'd honestly rather have a re-imagining where they use modern pieces, colours and techniques but still keep the spirit and overall design of the originals.

I kind of think our insiders would have alerted us if there were any new Pirate sets in the immediate future. The chess set was probably the only bonus we're going to get on this, sadly.
