Posted January 26, 201411 yr Hi guys :) Just thought I would share some photos of my WIP Rebel Alliance hangar / base. This is an ongoing project to house my starfighter squadron. The hangar bay is nearly complete, with the exception of a wall, walkway, pipes, crane etc. The ceiling of the bay is lit with Power Function LED lights. The base is supposed to be underground with the hangar carved out of a natural cavern. The upper level of the base includes the command and control centre, and the briefing room which is still under construction. I intend to add further rooms (medical bay, pilots mess, etc) eventually. Additionally, I am planning to add a surface landscape layer above the base . Enjoy! As usual comments and criticisms are welcomed ! I will keep you guys posted on my progress!
January 26, 201411 yr I love how everything looks very hectic and rushed, typical of the Alliance. Could we get a better picture of your Y-Wing, she's a beaut.
January 26, 201411 yr So...why are you posting pictures out of the flickr stream of EB member Renegade Clone?
January 26, 201411 yr Author So...why are you posting pictures out of the flickr stream of EB member Renegade Clone? I am his older brother. We both work on models together. Sorry for the confusion. He normally posts but I logged in with my account accidentally.

January 26, 201411 yr Great hangar.Rebel swine! You shall not life to see the dawn! Wise words from Darth Vadar.

Very nice work on the hangar; it looks like it'll be the perfect way to showcase all those beautiful starfighters you've built. I especially like the patterns in the floor and the transition from the natural rockwork to the smooth hangar walls.

I'll try take some more later. Ah, okay. Sorry, I thought you were one of those MOC thieves. Lots of work still to go on this, but the fun is in adding new details and continuing building!
January 26, 201411 yr I like it! Those coloured fighters give the scene just the color it needs. They are all old designs right? They are great anyways :) The hangar sort of reminds me to the echo base, was that intentionally? One question, though, what is that pillar under the big wing on the B-wing?
January 26, 201411 yr Just amazing. The look of the hangar interior is spot-on and I love how the control room has "cobbled together" elements to break up its perceived cleanness.
January 26, 201411 yr Really cool MOC. I especially like the detail in the control room. I also really dig the hangar section with the X and Y-Wings, notably the ceiling and your use of upside-down plates.
January 26, 201411 yr Great hangar, I love the detailed control room and different colored A-Wings. Edited January 26, 201411 yr by Kelso
January 26, 201411 yr How is the X-wing supposed to leave its berth, with that walkway in front? Other than that, a very cool MOC
January 26, 201411 yr How is the X-wing supposed to leave its berth, with that walkway in front? The movable gantry is actually kind of standard for X-wing hangars. I think it originated in Empire. (Even TLG's latest Echo Base set has one.)
January 26, 201411 yr This is looking brilliant, I can see how much time and money you have put into it already. The floor is really nice, it reminds me of the patchwork hanger floor from Home One in Return of the Jedi. The minifigures are looking excellent, the diversity makes it much more interesting. I have wanted to do something similar myself but haven't yet made the investment. I have always been a big fan of your ships, your "snubfighters" image was what inspired me to build my own. I started with Psiaki's X-Wing (after seeing your version) and then went on to build your B-Wing. I know you built the B-Wing years ago now but it is still the best minifigure scale model out there. I look forward to seeing how the hanger progresses.
January 26, 201411 yr This is brilliant! Not only is it a great MOC, it's also a great way to store your sets in a MOC.
January 27, 201411 yr Really impressing MOC! You spent a lot of love into details! BTW, where did you get the red, decorated Twi'Lek head part from?
January 27, 201411 yr BTW, where did you get the red, decorated Twi'Lek head part from? It's from Arealight. I love this MOC! The custom Y-wings are my favorites!
