Slightly off topic, but if that part is used for it's intended function, coupling a motor with an LA, then I made a substitute out of easily available parts.

Can I see a normal video of the machine where all functions work together?, in mine I needed 2 big L.A. to lift the second arm and the bucket and I saw you only need 1, thank you.

Of course it's not, what's the fun in using parts for their intended functions?

It's used in the following assembly:

Despite its rarity, I've chosen that part as it fits nicely in this assembly. However, you are welcome to suggest any modifications either now or later in your own builds!

By the way, your workaround is very helpful, thank you!

I'm very sorry, I'll make a video as soon as I get a camera. And yes, I used only 1 big LA for bending the boom. It's easier for me as my machine doesn't need to dig rice.

By the way, I've found that an old type LA works better for this solely function because it doesn't bend itself.

Look out! It's a Decepticon!

Ahem. This is a very excellently made model, the kind that makes me look at my available parts and busted MicroScout and cry. You've done a bang-up job, making such a beautifully-detailed, minifig-scale, motorized excavator.

My oh my, sheo you are an brilliant designer.  The BI that you have released are just amazing, the density of the parts used to get the shape or function you need, it humbles me greatly with the skills you have. The combination of pieces and at different angles, just leaves my mouth wide open. *oh2* I am acquiring a few of the unique parts through BL, but have almost everything else from my parts to build these boom sections.

I'm looking forward to the main body and the track base, keep up this terrific work.

Excellent work! The perfect fusion of Technic functionality and minifigure scale form.

Sheo as you can see I've finished your digging arm and used it in my display at Brickworld Indy this past weekend. I mounted it as a load on 2LegoOrNot2Legos' first truck and trailer.

Now I need your BI and parts list to finish this great creation of yours. I will display this machine at a future Brickworld Show, thanks for sharing this.

Thank you! I was very excited to see photos of the boom you've built, especially because of its coloring that is slightly different than in my own model. I changed it for the instructions but I'm not able to change it in my model as I need to disassemble most of the superstructure to dismount the arm. However, in my opinion, the final coloring scheme is better. And what do you think about it?

I am very sorry for the delay with the instructions. The reason is that I finally received missing parts for another large MOC, and I could not refrain from starting building it. :) As soon as it's finished, I will continue with the instructions for the excavator.

You made me curious! What is the final coloring scheme? I really liked the LBG combined with Red!

I meant this one:

You can also see it on the photos provided by ritztoys.

What a fantastic build, I look sooo forward to the rest of this great model and how you're going to show more of your amazing skills in making this creation. Besides the out side looking so good, the inside of this boom is quite packed, no room left over for anything!

Yes, I really like the color scheme, good pick for this type of machinery, which is usually very boring or dull in real life.

Please, no apologies are needed, we're all Lego builders and always ready to start another creation, especially when new parts that were needed are delivered in the post.

I had a friend at the show that immediately recognized the boom and the machinery that it is attached too, his company has one in their rock quarry,

Take your time on those ' instructions ' , I'm very happy to wait as I have way too much Lt Gray in my inventory, waiting for this.

My only issue was I didn't have the correct software ( I think ) to easily figure out the parts list, as you can see I succeeded, however I wrote the part #, its' quantity and color out on paper ' longhand '. I didn't want to miss a single part.

Sorry a little off topic, but now you've gone and done it. :sceptic: I have to invest in a Lego Train to go with this beautiful Train Station, which I might have to build. Excellent work........a gorgeous model.

Will you furnish BI for this new creation?

Really looking forward to building this model. Now someone needs to come up with a model of a 400 ton dump truck to go along with this.

Your instructions look really nice and very clear :classic:

But, the amount of pages is enormous

Thanks for your work and I think a lot of people would love to build this very original machine.

Btw, I can no proceed my LDraw version, I already made the boom when you released the earlier preview
