Heroica RPG - Quest #95: Missing Wares

Romulus peeks around the corner, but realizes he is visible. He pulls back, and waits for the guard to be there. He notices the shadow approach before thrusting Combyrs at the guard. However, the previously suspicious guard is able to barely dodge the swing. The guard swings a sword down at Romulus, but Romulus sidesteps the attack before swinging his elbow into the guard's head, knocking him back several steps. In panic, the guard swings his sword randomly, allowing Romulus to quickly rush at him and grab at the guard's weapon. Yanking it out of the guard's hand, Romulus twirls in a circle, swinging the blade through the man's neck. He falls backwards, dead.

Alexander loot the guard and try to understand if the guards on the ground has heard anyhing.

Romulus listens to see if he can hear any form of alarm.

The party loots the guard before checking that they have stayed hidden. It appears that the guards hadn't noticed, but if their attention was pulled to them, their presence would be revealed. It appeared that the party would have easy access to the window farther down the wall or the the roof, however of they wanted, they could continue looking for another entrance.

Loot:

20 Gold

1 Mead (Causes the encouraged-effect, doubling the target's attack power for the duration of one battle.)

3 Weak Potions (Restores 5 health to the target.)

Mizuki leads the party towards the window further down the wall. When they reach the window, Mizuki attempts to open the window or at least break it as quietly as possible.

Mizuki edges towards the window, peaking inside. Before she can open it, she realizes that a guard stands on the other side of the window, about 2 feet away. However, fortunately his back is turned to the window. Will she go to another window or attempt to take down the guard?

Opening the window as silently as possible, Mizuki attempts to knock out the guard with her Top Hat.

QM Note: LDD had an update and some people (me included) are having problems launching the program. Hopefully a solution to this problem will be found soon.

Mizuki silently opens the window before throwing the hat at the guard. It hits him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. As he clatters to the floor, Mizuki hears a confused guard approaching from around the corner.

Romulus hides so he can see anyone coming round the corner. When the guard walks round the corner Romulus grabs him and kills him with Combrys.

Romulus repeats this action, but pulls the guard towards him once he is dead.

Romulus decides to try and hide behind the corner, but must wait for Mizuki to go inside or stay outside of the building because she is in the way of the window.

QM Note: In case it wasn't clear, the image above is of the inside of the building, the brown is simply the floor. I'm not sure if this confused anyone but I figured I'd say something.

Mizuki hides behind the corner waiting for the guard to come past. When he appears, Mizuki will attempt to throw the hat at him, trying to knock him out.

QM Note: Well I'm an idiot . Sorry about that.

Mizuki hides int he corner, waiting for the guard to appear. He appears around the wall, and Mizuki throws the hat at him. It strikes him in the neck, causing him to choke for an instant, and fall backwards. However, he quickly stops himself from falling and turns to make a run for it. With his throat hurt, it appears he can't yet call for guards, but for long that would last wasn't clear.

Romulus grabs him and cuts his head off with Combrys.

QM Note: I'm not trying to limit other players' role in the quest, but I do want to keep continuity. However, there isn't any reason the party must stay together, giving everyone more chances.

Romulus, then Alexander, climb through the window, but do not have enough time to react to the guard.

Romulus realised the guard was too far from his sword length, and throws his trident at the fleeing guard.

Mizuki, unhooking her Sylph Shuriken, deciding to hurl it straight at the fleeing guard.

Mizuki throws the shuriken, striking the guard in the chest and lower torso, causing him to fall to the ground, presumably dead.

Alexander loot the guards and try to search for anything usefull in locality.
