Brick Miner Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 OK, you and Brick Miner have convinced me. *y* *y* *y* The only problem is that I don't know how to post pictures ... and without pictures it would be a bit difficult to show you what I've built, don't you think?! Perhaps somebody would be so nice to tell me how to post pictures.posting an image is easy... i would first suggest creating an account on brickshelf.com to host your images. the next step is to link them here.i think there is a "deeplink" tutorial somewhere on this board... that is the process i would suggest for getting your images to appear in an EB thread. - BM Quote

Piranha Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 I actually do better indian sets than towns that have saloons and such :-D The real hard part is the secret entrance I want to make so the inside can be easily acessed but right now its quite hard to get into X-D I'm thinking about using a..........(can't give away all the suprises ;-) ) Piranha Quote
Piranha Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 I am thinking about what name to use for the MOC I started major redesigning today The first version was :-/ I decided to open it up alot so now the inside can be acessed very easily now it dosen't look like a cave so Indian Treasure Caves is much better X-D This Idea came from KD Thanks for sharing *y* However I threw in a little something extra Piranha Quote

Brick Miner Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Are you taking lessons from Brick Miner. ;-) :-D :-D :-D in my defense, i think im getting good enough (and have acquired enough extra WW specialty pieces) that i am ready to publish an MOC every 3 months... previously i was doing every 4 months. i like to keep a schedule, that way i offer something fresh, consistently, to the AFOL community. that way people don't forget about me ;-) but right now, i have around 5 MOCs that are all ready to be released, so there is no reason to keep them on a 4 month release schedule !!! and an every three months schedule will still give me time to produce my next batch of MOCs ;-) -------------------------------------------------- perfection takes time,... from now till early fall sounds like a good amount of time to produce an MOC piranha ;-) and i hear your waiting on pieces from BL, that can really slow building time down, and even bring it to a halt at times. - Brick Miner Quote
Piranha Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Well just expect the unexpected :-D So the two WW MOCs I am working on and will be ready soon Indian Treasure Caves Bandits Boulder Suprise Then after that I will browse this forum again for some ideas X-D I live along way from any continent and it takes about two weeks to recieve orders from the mainland USA Piranha Quote

I'm looking forward to see your MOC set, Piranha. Two new set proposals: Wild West Fort Legoredo Outpost a cottage as army outpost including some barrels, a big barrel, a horse, a cannon, two cups and a glass minifigs: captain, sergeant, soldier and robber Wild West Hold-Up At The Spring a little spring with some rocks and a shrub including a horse and a pot minifigs: cowboy and robber By the way: I built a MOC yesterday and so I'll present my set proposal Wild West Hold-Up On The Governor in the near future if I get managed to post pictures. Let me share the description of my Haunted Mill: Alone in the outskirts of Grave Stone stands Sutter's Mill, long-since abandoned since the great gold rush. Two treasure seekers are venturing into the old mill in search of the lost map of the one-eyed prospector, Tex Grimwell. Rumor has it that old Tex found the "Mother Load" after years of searching in the desert sometime before going mad. He and his gold was never found but some say that he left a map to his discovery, hidden somewhere in Grave Stone. Strange lights have been seen near Sutter's Mill and some even say that the place is haunted. Others say that it would be best if Sutter's Mill was burned to the ground along with the horrible evil that lies in Grave Stone. My other MOCs can be found here: GRAVE STONE Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I got that idea from the Calico Gold mineI remember going there,it was fun The ride at Knotts Berry Farm, or the real Ghost Town? The stories of a "mother load" and also the Lost Dutchman's Mine/Gold have been around a long time as legends of the Wild West. The stories have always intrigued me as well, and probably why I wrote the story into Grave Stone legend. I'm really impressed with yours and the many other ideas that individuals are sharing as thoughts for new WW sets. If only more people showed interest, we could hope to see Lego re-visit the WW theme. Quote
Piranha Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 The ride at Knotts Berry Farm, or the real Ghost Town? The real ghost town I like the knotts berry farm ride too though The WW train were they "pretend to rob you" is also fun to ride Along with the stagecoach ride which is cool too especially when you get to ride on the top They have a whole area of western shops Probably my fav area of Knotts Piranha Quote

WesternOutlaw Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Ya now all the good ideas have been taken :-D What to do? There's always more ideas. One just has to think beyond the limits of what has already been done. I'd like to think that I introduced the concept of a Ghost Town to the Lego community over two years ago. My 2nd (better wave ) of Grave Stone MOCs was intended as creations that are not so traditional to the Wild West. A foreboding Windmill (Whispering Windmill), sinister Church (Shadow Chapel), and covered Bridge (Dead Man's Bridge) are just a few of the ideas. I have a few more ideas that I plan to build over the next few weeks. Quote
