I've tried looking through all the pages, and didn't see any :-$ Thanx, P Now that you mention naval uniforms, I wonder if Mr. Mosana would be interested in making some for the factions of the Napoleonic wars. He already have a Nelson but no midshipman, lieutenant, captain, ... We have some naval uniforms in the library, but I have no idea how historical accurate they are: French: Admiral/Captain with demo by AdmMatthew Lieutenant with demo by AdmMatthew British: Admiral1 Admiral2 with demo by SirScottLego Captain with demo by AdmMatthew Lieutenant by AdmMatthew Quote

Maybe i should post some pics of what i'm looking for then ;-) Here be some other pics (click for full view): * * These are pics of the Naval Marines on the USS Constitution in the War of 1812. The dark blue are the regular combat marines while the red are the musicians. It appears there are two main variations of the dark blue unifom with different amount of yellow stripes. Not too picky about the yellow stripes though. Thanx Chief Torso Designer, P Edit: Hey B, Have you been able to keep up in the torso index with this thread? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 16, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 16, 2007 Hey B, Have you been able to keep up in the torso index with this thread? Jep, I'm keeping the library up-to-date! With all the new torso's I'm doing the updates every 2 weeks. British sea uniforms Very useful link! Thanks!!! Quote
Mosana Posted May 17, 2007 Author Posted May 17, 2007 I'll try my best at these. Does anyone want anything outside of USA, Britian and France? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 17, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 17, 2007 I'll try my best at these. Does anyone want anything outside of USA, Britian and France? The Spanish navy was very active in the Napoleonic wars, so they would also be useful. Others are Portugal and Holland. But the most important (for me) are France and Britain. EDIT: I can't find any pictures of the uniforms of the Napoleonic navy and an overview of the ranks. Does anyone know a good site for this kind of info? Quote

ZCerberus Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Actually, I'd like to make a request myself. I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could find me a waist cape template for clone troopers. Well you certainly have done a lot for us! Besides the template from Fordo, I also know of a brickshelf folder with lots of custom clones, some of which have waist capes. Here is a link. Click me! I would look in the ARC folder for some ideas for waist capes. Here are a few shots of what you will see in there... As for me... I think the only torso I am interested in would be a British Marine like this one... Marine. That is what I would like to see if you have some time! Quote
Mosana Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Thanks for the help with the capes everyone, although I have uses for them other than clone troopers, which you will eventually see. As for the marines, their uniform, aside from the hat, was identical to the regular British soldier, and so the regular red coat body could easily be used. However, I'll gladly make one of you want it. Quote

I mean using the white differently or something... I just wanted something a little different to distinguish them from my other sailors. The design on the the link from above is a little different from the Lego version Quote
Fordo Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Would you be able to do a Prince of Hohenlohe and Archduke Charles? Quote
Mosana Posted May 22, 2007 Author Posted May 22, 2007 I can do Archduke Charles: But I can't find any pictures of the Prince of Hohenlohe yet. Also, here is something different I've been working on. A Franco-Prussian War French infantryman: Now, one of the distinctive things about these troops was the large turned-back coats they wore. Now, by using this body and this waist-cape, coloured blue on the other side, I believe a pleasing approximation of these troops can be created. Quote
Fordo Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Nice, Thanks for the decal I'll try and find a pic of the Prince of Hohenlohe nice job on the Franco-Prussian Infantry decal. Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 This to your liking? Yes it is. I can't seem to find the right program to print it at the right size though... back to the hunt! EDIT: I found the right combo of options to get them to the right size. Look for them on Phantom updates! Quote
Mosana Posted May 26, 2007 Author Posted May 26, 2007 Update time: US marine trooper: US marine drummer: US marine officer: I'm having a lot of trouble with finding details of US naval uniforms, as well as French ones. Any assistance would be appreciated. Quote
Norrington Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Well, I can't find a picture, but could you make me marines as they appeared in PotC: At World's End? They are they have blue coats, red facings, black Bandoliers, and a dark colored bandolier holder with the British East India Company seal. I could just be describing what the British East India Trading Company marines look like, but I would not know, I can't find a picture of them... or else, these marines could be merely peices of fiction devised by the writers of PotC. Though, that american marine looks similar to what I'm wanting, but lets wait until I am able to find a better picture. Quote

Those are awesome so far. *y* Soon as i get paid next, i'm ordering a bunch of drk blue torsos to try them out. I've recently found some great pics online with the officers. Took me a very long time to find them. :-$ There is a 1st lieutenant on the left and a Marine sergeant on the right. The guy in the front left is the Commander of the USS Constitution. The guy on the left is a captain and the guy on the right is another pic of a 1st lieutenant. Hope that helps. P Quote
