Serious? That's always the first thing I do when I make a new design.

As you might notices, my inktjet printer just cannot match the Lego red. I have been playing with this some time ago, but it is just not possible.

I don't like using my figures for real-life things. No reason why; I just don't. Making the bodies is good fun, though.

We only have a Russian officer of jaegers/chasseurs

I really do like making these; it's never a chore or dull. I think I'll do Russians, for I wargame them, and already have a fair idea about what they'd look like. Also, the post-Jena Prussian uniform is very similar to the Russian one, which helps.

I wish i had a decent printer to print some of these.... I really am tempted to go buy some minifigs....

BTW i am interested in Napoleonic Wars... just more interested in the War of 1812 between USA and GB :P I could never field armies of anything large enough to be the continent wars that is for sure.

I would like to see some marines, alternate (other than lego) officers and perhaps RN or USN seamen.... that would be interesting.... Any French or Spanish Navy would be nice too. (I haven't checked the torso index in a couple weeks, so they may be up there.....) I am interested in seeing more Navy stuff... but The army stuff looks really cool, and I wish i had a dang printer that would be good for this sort of thing!!!!

I'll see what I can do about it. I'm not interested in that war, and so have no books or uniform plates about it, but I'll see what I can dig up. In the meantime:

Adding these new torso's to the library is a job I don't mind doing.

With all the new torso designers that joined our ranks lately, we'll soon have a unique (and complete) collection in our library.

I'll do updates every few weeks of the torso library from now on to make things a bit more efficient.

What do you use as master for your designs?

Internet pictures ? Or do you rely on books (osprey men-at-arms or something similar)

Really whatever I can find. Osprey books are best, but failing that I just use the internet or some of my model soldiers.

I was thinking of using innfranveiw to resize mt own decals, but I was really asking WHAT pixel size you resized, or did you have no idea? Lke the resized decals? What's their pixel size!

What exactly do you mean with "resized torso's" ?

When you post a torso for the library, I suggest you use:

dimensions: 360pixels - 300 pixels

resolution: 600dpi - 600dpi

Or do you want to know what the size must be to put a torso on an actual minifig?

I have no idea about pixel sizes. I just make them small so they look right, as I don't print any of these out.

I did say I'd do the Dutch and Belgians next, but, according to my sources, their uniforms were very similiar to French ones, so much so that they were fired on mistakenly by British troops several times at Waterloo. Therefore, existing French designs can be used, and I have only one different torso here, the Prince of Orange or "Silly Billy" as Sharpe rather ungraciously calls him.

The Prussian uniform for Jena-Auerstedt is a very simple one, with little variation between units and officers.

That Prince of Orange uniform is outstanding!

That's one I'll be printing. I didn't remember that uniform from "Sharpe's Waterloo", so yesterday I again watch that episode. I must say that this is not the best episode from the Sharpe series. Not enough troops to be convincing. And why did they decide to put so much attention on the Prince of Orange? The episodes in Spain are much better.
