NXT45 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 just found this! It looks like an amazing review by Volvo. Happy building! NXT45 Quote
Doc_Brown Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Awesome video! But I'm guessing sand in the LA's would kill it. Quote
jantjeuh Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Is it just me or do those 5 x 7 LBG liftarms really stick out like a sore thumb in the frontend? Wish they were available in yellow. Anyway, awesome video. Edited March 7, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote
Zerobricks Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Never saw a commercial for a H2 set so soon yet... Looks great though. Oh and metric units would be nice... Quote
Milan Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Great video! I like how they "hide" the last axle off the 6x6 Articulated Hauler, to match the 4x4 LEGO hauler, on 0:20 in the video. Edited March 8, 2014 by Milan Quote
Jim Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Press Release: Volvo teams up with LEGO Group to make miniature marvels! Read all about how our very own EB digital design specialist Superkalle worked on a Lego Technic project with TLG Designers! After a joint Volvo/LEGO project, in which LEGO Technic elements had been used to create a production line concept demonstrator at Volvo, a friendship struck up between Volvo engineer Johan Sahlström [superkalle] and LEGO engineer Anders Gaasedal Christensen. Thanks to their prompting, the idea of cooperating on an actual Volvo model was born, and the first L350F will roll out of the factory in Billund, Denmark in August this year. EB note: the actual designer of the Volvo model is Uwe Wabra Read the entire story on the Volvo CE website. Quote
rm8 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 So, the designer of flagship is Anders, designer of 8043. He moved to another department, but now we see he continue to design fully RC construction machines from time to time. Talent is not missed:) EDIT/Clarification by Moderator: The designer of the Volvo model is Uwe Wabra Quote
Anio Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 So, the designer of flagship is Anders I am really not sure. As you said, he moved to another department for some time now. As far as I remember, his last Technic model is 8109. Moreover, I do not recognize his building style in that new 42030. Quote
skylinedan Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 My question is, when will we see it on the shelves ? Here in the states we have yet to see any of the 2014 sets for sale, not sure what the problem is. :( Quote

AndroTech Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 I believe Markus Kossman designed Lego Volvo .... but I could be wrong. He did said, that the most challenging creation, is this year model .... be surprised .... Quote

But the text is from the Lego Press Release, I just copied it. I will see if I can clarify it a bit. Added (note: the actual designer of the Volvo model is Uwe Wabra). Quote
