TheItalianBrick Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Yes but what a shame that "Pick a brick" and "customer service" aren't the same!! I mean I can't find the bucket and the Unimog wheel in pick a brick, but you can buy them as customer service!! :hmpf_bad: :hmpf_bad: Quote
TinkerBrick Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 They won't ask. You can order online: https://service.lego.com/en-gb/replacementparts#WhatStore Select "I want to buy pieces" than the "Bricks and Pieces selection". Afterwards you can enter a set number to see the inventory or supply the part/design number: Element ID 6055632 Design ID 15265. You can shop for pieces from various sets. I recommend to finish the ordering process once started-after 15min or so the shopping basket is cleared automatically as the process is being aborted. Quote
TheItalianBrick Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Thanks also to you Tinker, now the only doubt it's about the different prices between Pick a Brick and Customer service....I did open another topic! feel free to comment if you have answer! that would help me a lot! Thanks!! Quote
filsawgood Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) At last! I built my 42030! And the first thing that I wanted to change - is to put 108 mm tires, they look more realistic and cool. I had to change the design front shields instead of thin bims 4x stud set bims 3x stud. I do not supported the replacement of original parts LEGO, but in this case it is good (as in 9398/41999). Overall, the model is very steep and playable. By itself only changed the original optics for more realistic and hide bumps on the lifting mechanism - they're unnecessary. Anio Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Curious... Many people have been waiting yellow rims for years, and with your pics, I tend to believe that the model looks better with black rims. ^^ Quote
TJoling Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) Wow! That is such an improvement on the looks! Now it really looks like a mean machine, instead of a toy! Edited August 25, 2014 by TJoling Quote
jantjeuh Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Damn filsaw, those tires are awesome. Where did you get them? And I agree, somehow black rims look better. Quote
filsawgood Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Damn filsaw, those tires are awesome. Where did you get them? And I agree, somehow black rims look better. Thanks to all! As far as I know, this is the tire for RC models. And where to get them knows RM8 :)) I bought them from him Quote
Boulderer Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 This mod makes a massive difference to the looks. If only TLG would partner with a tyre manufacturer to offer more options. Afterall, it works for F1 Quote
Foggy Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) Bad @$$ looking loader with these black rims and those tyres! Really like the tyres, they do the job :D and prefere black instead of yellow for rims! Well done! Edited August 25, 2014 by Foggy Quote
TimH Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Nice modifications, the set looks so much nicer with black rims and upgraded tires. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Well done, that has improved the looks heaps :) Quote
Dafgek81 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Yep, it looks better, but the real machine has yellow rims. So I will stick to that. The tyres look great, a real good addition to the model. When I get mine, I will order a set of rims that Efferman designed on Shapeways, not the cover but the complete rim. Quote
750ACE Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Damn filsaw, those tires are awesome. Where did you get them? And I agree, somehow black rims look better. Rock crusher xt 1.9 from rc4wd.com Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) On the technic website lego technic has made a short video looking at a 'behind the scene' look at making the 42030 wheel loader. Edited September 27, 2014 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Hoth-Wampa Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Very interesting video, thanks Alasdair Quote

TinkerBrick Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Thanks for posting the video Alasdair. Took anyone notice, that the prototype shown at 0:53 used the rare cylinder brackets? Would have been great to see those return. Quote
Zmei_gorini4 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 yesterday my 42030 got ride on the snow. 3 PF Lego LED lights installed and of course my beacon :) Quote

Hi, sorry for my english, i am italian, one question, the rims are of the Lego 9398? The codes are: 44772 with 3 hole pin or 15038 with 6 hole pin (6 pin that of you photos) And the code of tires are: Rock crusher xt 1.9 ? 108mm or what? There are lot of models... thanks Edited January 3, 2016 by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page . Thank you. Quote
therealjustin Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I thought this was pretty cool http://www.aggbusiness.com/categories/loading-hauling-excavation/news/volvo-ce-lego-loaders-set-world-record-at-130th-anniversary-family-fun-day/ Quote
Freekysch Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Just today I got in the mail these tires and mounted them on my 42030. They fit almost perfectly, they are made out of an soft rubber but they got foam inside so there is no sustaining the model (maybe with the batteries on the back tires could flatten as the rubber is kinda soft). I got them with free shipping and I think 15$ is a great deal for four tires. Quote
